Additional

A small number of ConductScience businesses do engage in limited research on animals with every effort taken to do so in a way that is ethical and complies with the IACUC (Institutional Animal Care Committee and Use Committee) guidelines. This type of work is sometimes necessary for developing or manufacturing products that allow our customers to advance important science, including potentially life-saving therapies.

In addition to continually reviewing and updating our policies and procedures, we are committed to seeking alternative research methods that may reduce or eliminate the use of animals whenever possible.

ConductScience provides a broad range of products, services, and solutions for all aspects of scientific research, analysis, discovery, and diagnostics.

We work as a trusted partner with companies, universities, and research labs that use these products and services and follow all applicable laws and regulations.

Through our selected brands, we provide instruments, reagents, and other laboratory tools to our customers, specifically designed to isolate, culture, expand, engineer, characterize, differentiate, and store stem cells with the goal of enabling new discoveries that are critical for studying human disease.

ConductScience Team will always support to continue to explore and evaluate methods to replace, reduce and refine work conducted with animals. ConductScience will always encourage the use of non‐animal testing methods. These are often adjuncts to animal studies that will allow us to then reduce the number of animals needed. Other strategies, such as refined study design and different testing methods, are also suggested.

Conduct Science reserves the right to amend or terminate this Policy at any time as the Company deems necessary.

ConductScience is a global Digital & Distributed Company with a presence around the world. The humane care and well-being of animal research are part of our core values and mission as a Company. The oversight and review of animal research are well defined and there is an ongoing commitment to the use of alternatives. As a dynamic field, policies and guidelines related to animal welfare will continue to be updated and shared.

ConductScience requires all animal care and research to meet or exceed the relevant local and national legislation and guidelines. Alternatively, the Institute for Laboratory Animal Resources (ILAR) guidelines can be used as a standard.

ConductScience works to continually enhance awareness, provide training, and foster best practices in animal welfare. ConductScience values and mission is transmitted to all ConductScience Team Members and we work on reinforcing awareness of our commitment to animal welfare with instructions on the multiple mechanisms that can be used to make suggestions and how to report concerns.
