The 50-item Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite (EPIC) is a three-page, 50-item validated domain-specific survey for health-related quality of life after treatment for prostate cancer. It was derived from the UCLA Prostate Cancer index and although longer than the other surveys, is a more thorough investigation. ConductScience Digital Health EPIC survey modules come with the shortened EPIC-26 and EPIC-Clinical Practice versions as well for shorter routine administration. It has been utilized in many different specific therapies including brachytherapy, external radiotherapy, and radical prostatectomy. The answer set is derived into a 0 to 100 scale for domain-specific scoring. Domains covered include urinary incontinence, urinary irritation, bowel habits, sexual function, and hormonal domains.
