Documentation Introduction Basic Fuchsin is a fluorescent dye containing a mixture of rosaniline, pararosaniline, magenta II, and new fuchsine. The basic fuchsin is a cationic triphenylmethane dye used for the detection of acid-fast bacilli and is commonly used in the Ziehl Neelsen staining technique. It stains mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins. It can also be used to… Continue reading Basic Fuchsin$39.90 – $495.90
For Gram Stains Documentation Introduction Crystal violet is an organic chloride salt that belongs to the triphenylmethane type alkaline dyes. This monochloride salt whose scientific name is hexamethyl chloride rose aniline has a wide bio and industrial applications including developing fingerprints, dying ink, as an antifungal, antibacterial & anthelmintic agent, and as a histological stain.… Continue reading Crystal Violet Stain

Safranin is a basic biological dye commonly used as a counter-stain in some of the staining protocols like gram staining.
Safranin is a cationic dye used in histology and cytology to distinguish and identify different tissues and cells. It is popular in medical research for staining acidic proteoglycan that is found in cartilage tissues, enabling researchers to analyze cell chondrogenesis. The safranin is employed as a counter-stain in endospore staining and Gram’s staining. It is mostly utilized for the identification of cartilage, mucin, and mast cell granules.
ConductScience offers Safranin in two presentations.
