When to use
- Starting a new production cycle and need a recording template
- Training staff on growth data collection procedures
- Creating standardized recording forms across multiple ponds or tanks
- Documenting growth performance for production reports

Do not use for
Gut content can add 5-10% to body weight. Always weigh fish before the morning feeding for consistent measurements.
Switching between scales introduces measurement error. Calibrate your scale monthly and use the same one for all sampling.
The Notes column is critical. Water temperature, recent weather events, treatment history, and feed changes all affect growth and should be documented.
Chart structure based on standard aquaculture production monitoring practices. Row count is calculated from target weight, initial weight, and measurement interval. All processing is client-side.

Systematic growth monitoring is the foundation of production management in aquaculture. Regular weight sampling, combined with feed records, enables FCR calculation — the most important efficiency metric in fish farming. Growth charts that track actual versus expected performance provide early warning of problems and support data-driven decisions about feeding rates, stocking density, and harvest timing.
