Mount Toratau (Fortress Mountain) in Bashkiria.
Russia, Republic of Bashkortostan, Ishimbay region. A single mountain is a fragment of the coral reef of the ancient Perm Sea. The mountain is one of the oldest mountains on Earth, its age is about 285 million years. The relative height is 280 meters, the height above the ocean level is 402 meters. Three cities can be seen from the top - Sterlitamak, Salavat and Ishimbay. It consists of fossilized molluscs, algae and corals. An archaeological monument, subject to protection as a mon-ument of state importance, since 1960, a natural monument since 1965, a unique geological object included in the GEOSITES List of Geological Heritage of World Significance. In December 2018, the Toratau Geopark was created in Bashkiria. It occupies more than 4 thousand square kilometers and is located on the territory of four districts - Ishimbaysky, Sterlitamaksky, Gafuriysky, Meleuzov-sky. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
