CityPlace Schooner Claw Hammer

This is a laser scanned model of a hammer found in 2015 in downtown Toronto by Archaeological Services, Inc. during its excavation of the CityPlace schooner, an early 19th-century merchant vessel. It was discovered under the hull towards the stern of the wreck on its starboard side. The wreck is currently located at the Fort York National Historic Site and is the subject of an archaeological study by scholars from the Nautical Archaeology Program at Texas A&M University.
