This is a beautiful fossil (specimen BU 2469) of the Silurian jawless fish *Hemicyclaspis murchisoni*, from the Downton Castle Sandstone Formation of Gornal, West Midlands, UK. The specimen is on display at the Lapworth Museum of Geology, in the Evolution of Life gallery.
