Impact of endoscopic pyloric dilatation on symptom relief in delayed gastric emptying after oesophageal resection – use of a novel symptom response questionnaire

<p>This dataset accompanies a study aimed at assessing the efficacy of endoscopic pyloric dilatation (EPD) in patients with delayed gastric emptying (DGE) following oesophago-gastrectomy, using a novel symptom response questionnaire. The study conducted a prospective cohort analysis over a 6-month period on consecutive patients undergoing EPD for DGE. The dataset includes responses to the symptom response questionnaire, which was developed from selected items of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), administered via telephone at 2- and 4-week intervals post-intervention. It encompasses symptom frequency, severity, overall health, treatment satisfaction, and follow-up data on the necessity of subsequent dilatations.</p>
