Selection of Han dynasty paronomastic glosses

<p>This is a digitized collection of the paronomastic glosses found in the appendix of W. South Coblin, <em>A handbook of Eastern Han sound glosses</em>, Hong Kong: Chinese univ. Press, 1983.</p> <p>Whereas Coblin used the Old and Middle Chinese reconstructions of Li Fang-Kuei, this dataset uses the Late Han reconstructions of Axel Schuessler (<em>Minimal Old Chinese and Later Han Chinese: A Companion to Grammata Serica Recensa</em>, Honolulu: University of Hawai&lsquo;i Press, 2009).</p> <p>The data set is incomplete, ending mid way through Xu Shen, and many characters were not found in Schuessler 2009.</p>
