<p>The dataset comprises the plasma concentration of metabolic and energy balance variables of Holstein (HF) and Normande (NR) cows managed in a low input grazing system across days in milk (DIM). The energy balance variables include net energy exported in milk (NE<sub>lact</sub>), net energy for gestation (NE<sub>gest</sub>), daily change in energy retained in peripheral tissue (ΔRE), and net energy intake (NEI). </p> <p> </p>
