Although this specimen is poorly preserved, it is possible to identify ectotympano-petrosal contact on the medial aspect of the promontorium (asterisk). The heavilysculpted bullar wall is exceptionally thick, as in some octodontoids (e.g., Geocapromys, fig. 21). There is no indication of a posttympanic canal like that of Amblyrhiza (fig. 1).
