According to a note on the title-page (which begins من كُتُبِ من كتب</p> <p>الحروف), this copy was transcribed by Fakhr al-d&icirc;n &lsquo;Al&icirc; b. Darw&icirc;sh Muḥammad b. &lsquo;Abdallah, for his own use. Many additional notes by the author, and some by the transcriber, are on the margin.</p> <p>On the last page are noted the birth-days of three children of one Muṣṭafa, all of which have the surname of Sh&acirc;h, at the beginning of the tenth century.</p> <p>B&icirc;j.
