Stompie Tank

A decommissioned Soviet-built T-34-85 medium tank, now located on the corner of Mandela Way and Page's Walk in Bermondsey, London. The tank was placed here by the owner who failed to get planning permission for the plot of land, so aimed the tank's turrent at the local council offices. The tank is currently (June 2020) painted blue as a thank you to the staff of the NHS fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
