Wave Height and Wind Speed
<p>This data is a product of the South China Sea multi-nested wave model. The South China Sea multi-nested wave model is based on the third-generation wave model WW3, which uses the latest wind stress calculation scheme to improve the model's forecasting effect on wind and waves generated by different wind speeds and changing wind fields. The model can provide hourly forecasts, including wind speed and wind waves, with a spatial resolution of up to 1/40°*1/40°.</p>
Wind tunnel measurements of particulate matter concentration and wind speed to determine the deposition effect of urban green
<p>This dataset contains measurements of particulate matter (PM) concentration and wind speed at the in- and outlet of a test section of an open-circuit wind tunnel to study PM deposition on urban green. The vegetation under study was the climber species <em>Hedera Helix</em>, which was grown against a screen in a planter. PM was introduced in the wind tunnel at the inlet bend (number 2 on the figure WT-design) and consisted of a mixture of Arizona fine test dust (dp > 0.3 µm) and soot (dp < 0.3 µm). The concentration measurements were performed with an optical particle sizer and a scanning mobility particle analyser. Wind speed was measured with a hot wire anemometer. Details of the files can be found in README.txt. This research was performed by the Sustainable Energy, Air and Water Technology (DuEL) group at the University of Antwerp (Belgium).</p>
wind turbine high-speed shaft driven data set
<p>A commercial wind turbine with a 2 MW power output was installed with a condition monitoring system. Data was collected at 10-minute intervals. The data was sampled at 97656 sps for 6 seconds. Bearing envelop analysis was performed by band passing the signal between 9 to 11 KHz. Welches spectrum was used on the heterodyned signal with a DFT length of 4096, and with an overlap of 2048 points.</p>
Daily 10-m wind speed observation dataset CN05.1 over China
<p>The daily 10-m wind speed observation dataset CN05.1, which covers the period from 1961 to 2020, with horizontal resolution of 0.25° × 0.25° (latitude × longitude). This dataset was developed by Jia Wu from National Climate Center, China Meteorological Administration.</p> <p>References: Jia Wu, Xue-Jie Gao.
