Supplementary Movie 1
<p>Supplementary Movie 1: Actomyosin dynamics in response to PFO intoxication. HeLa cells were co-transfected to simultaneously express NMHCIIA (green) and F-Tractin (red) and followed by time-lapse confocal microscopy upon PFO intoxication. Sequential frames were acquired every 10 seconds (7 frames per second display rate). PFO was added to culture medium at a concentration of 0.1 nM, 20 seconds before t0. Fluorescence images correspond to a z-stack projection. Scale bar - 20 μm.</p>
Electron tomography of mouse LINC complexes at meiotic telomere attachment sites with and without microtubules - High Resolution Supplementary Movies
<p>High resolution movies of the paper 'Electron tomography of mouse LINC complexes at meiotic telomere attachment sites with and without microtubules' by Spindler et al..</p> <p><strong>Supplementary Movie 1:</strong> Transmission electron tomographic reconstruction and annotation of a meiotic telomere attachment site to the nuclear envelope (NE). The movie sequence shows the progression through the tomogram in z with annotations on individual virtual sections. The combination of virtual sections results in the 3D model of the site. After an initial rotation of the model, the nuclear envelope is faded out to provide better visibility of the filaments. Annotations include the synaptonemal complex (lateral elements in magenta, central element in yellow), attachment plates (lilac) the transverse filaments (blue) and the LINC complexes (light cyan).</p> <p><strong>Supplementary Movie 2:</strong> Transmission electron tomographic reconstruction and annotation of a meiotic telomere attachment site to the nuclear envelope (NE) with a microtubule. Movie sequence progresses through the reconstructed tomogram, showing how the annotation of the structures of interest on individual virtual sections combine into a 3D model of the attachment site. The attachment site is close to a microtubule running parallel to the nuclear envelope. Annotations in accordance with Supplementary Movie 1, microtubule annotated in purple.</p> <p> </p>
Movies of Crystallization of Nanocomposites
<p>Movie 1:</p> <p>Pure hexacontane (C60H122) is being crystallized at T=325K and P=1 atm, during ~56 ns of crystallization time. The movie is made from 600 individual frames, and the point of view is changed by 2 degrees at every frame, allowing for viewing the dynamic process of crystallisation from different angles. Individual molecules are shown with different colours for clarity to observe their conformation and formation of crystal lamella. The simulation includes 61400 united atoms.</p> <p>Movie 2:</p> <p>Hexacontane (C60H122) gold nanocomposite with a 4.5 nm cubic gold nanoparticle at the centre is crystallized at T=325K and under constant pressure (P=1 atm) for 56 ns. The volume fraction, in this case, is 3.2 %. The simulation includes 87480 hexacontane united atoms and 4794 gold atoms. Individual molecules are shown with different colours for clarity to observe their conformation and formation of crystal lamella. The movie is made from 600 individual frames, and the point of view is changed by 2 degrees at every frame, allowing for viewing the dynamic process of crystallisation from different angles.</p> <p>Movie 3:</p> <p>Slices of contours of the final degree of crystallinity (g2) after 56 ns of crystallization of pure hexacontane (C60H122). The results are shown at ~0.68 nm intervals in the XZ plane. The red regions have >90% crystallinity, whereas blue regions are amorphous.</p> <p> </p> <p>Movie 4:</p> <p>Slices of contours of the final degree of crystallinity (g2) after 56 ns of crystallization of composite gold hexacontane (C60H122). The cubic gold particle at the centre is 4.5 nm, and the volume fraction is 2.31%. The slices are shown at ~0.55 nm intervals in the XZ plane. The red regions have >90% crystallinity, whereas blue regions are amorphous.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>

Movies for Figure 4 in "She's Got Her Mother's Hair: End-to-End Collapsar Simulations Unveil the Origin of Black Holes' Magnetic Field, (#AAS56924)"
<p>There are 10 videos: Six 2D vertical maps of the logarithmic mass density and four 3D renderings of the disk density (red) and jet magnetization (blue). In the 2D maps, the black contours outline the magnetic field lines, where solid and dashed lines delineate positive and negative magnetic polarity, respectively.</p> <p>The filenames correspond to the model names in the paper:</p> <p>Model a9ΦhD includes a rapidly spinning black hole with a high magnetic flux reservoir and large angular momentum to form a disk.</p> <p>Model a9ΦhI includes a rapidly spinning black hole with a high magnetic flux reservoir and small angular momentum that does not form a disk.</p> <p>Model a1ΦhD includes a slowly spinning black hole with a high magnetic flux reservoir and large angular momentum to form a disk.</p> <p>Model a9ΦlD includes a rapidly spinning black hole with a low magnetic flux reservoir and large angular momentum to form a disk.</p> <p>Model a5ΦlD includes a moderately spinning black hole with a low magnetic flux reservoir and large angular momentum to form a disk.</p> <p>Model a1ΦlD includes a slowly spinning black hole with a low magnetic flux reservoir and large angular momentum to form a disk.</p> <p>BHs with higher spins and magnetic fluxes retain the remnant poloidal field of the PNS to maintain steady jet launching. When the BH spin and the initial flux on the BH are low, or an accretion disk is absent (model a9ΦhI), the BH cannot sustain a large-scale field. As a result, magnetic loops of opposite polarity are accreted onto the BH, causing the BH magnetic flux to reconnect and reduce the flux on the BH, resulting in the depletion of jets.</p>
