Questionnaire and Data of Neck Pain and Distance learning among university Students During COVID-19

<p>&nbsp;The shift to online learning during COVID-19 led to increased musculoskeletal discomforts and impacted students' quality of life. Neck pain, once a minor issue, has become more prevalent due to prolonged electronic device use in new learning methods. This study aims to measure the prevalence of neck pain among University of Sharjah (UOS) students during the COVID-19 online learning period and to investigate the factors that provoked it.</p><p>&nbsp;This cross-sectional study used an online survey distributed to UOS students via social media from February 16 to March 12, 2021. Demographic data, Neck Disability Index (NDI) assessments, and pain management information were gathered and analyzed using SPSS 24 through univariate and bivariate methods.</p><p>The prevalence of neck pain during COVID-19, among 325 UOS students was found to be 62.7%, 64.41% of which had neck pain at the time of doing the survey. The mean NDI percentage point was 19.19%. The most common location of pain was the back of the neck 38.77%). Participants reported prolonged sitting (81.23%) while leaning forward as the most prevalent cause of their neck pain. Bivariate analysis showed that the most significant factors affecting the NDI were lifting, personal care, headaches, concentration, sleeping, recreational activities, reading, anxiousness, depression, and work. Moreover, subjects who did not seek medical attention treatment had significantly higher NDI scores as compared to those who did (83.89 vs 125.80, p=0.002).</p><p>By determining the prevalence of neck pain among UOS students, this research can attract attention to the importance of postural changes and time spent in e-learning on neck pain, and the gaps of previously published articles can be filled. Future studies about neck pain and additional preventative measures should be catalyzed in the UAE.</p>

Beja Entabulare by ARCHMAT Students

The subject of this photogrammetry model is the partial remains of a roman entablature which can be found at the Igreja de Santa Maria in modern day Beja amongst a collection of Roman period architectural pieces. This piece in particular is a small part of a the architrave, which has been removed from its original context and can be found mounted to the church. A mirrorless compact system camera was utilised to obtain photographs of the capital at three different levels in order to capture every angle of the object. All camera settings were adjusted for the shaded environment in which the capital was housed. Each image taken had a two-third overlap with the preceding image to allow the software to identify overlapping points. To obtain images from other angles the camera was turned first 90° degrees to the right for the images taken at an overhead angle and then 270° to the right for the images taken from below. All of these images were then uploaded and processed through the Agisoft Metashape software. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Perceived creativity in insight problems by secondary school students: Effects of problem and solver's variables

<p><span>An exploratory empirical study was conducted to collect and analyse the perception of secondary education students regarding the creativity involved in insight problems. A total of 127 Spanish students from 8th grade (2nd ESO) and 11th grade (1st Bachillerato) participated in the study and assessed the creativity involved in the problems before and after attempting to solve them. These evaluations were related to the course, gender, surface, and structural aspects of the problems. Everyday life and science contexts were considered as problem surfaces or contexts. The structural aspects of the problems were associated with the specific strategy required to solve them, such as &lsquo;chunk decomposition&rsquo; and &lsquo;constrain relaxation,&rsquo; the assistance provided by the problem statement to initiate the resolution process, and the possibility of metacognitive control over the quality of the solution developed. Individual booklets were prepared with counterbalanced statements to assess perceived creativity and to solve the problems. The results show that, contrary to expectations, students are capable of mentally representing the structural aspects of the problems during reading and before solving them. The problem surface did not significantly affect the initial perception of creativity. After solving the problems, the average changes in perceived creativity were of small magnitude. The results encourage teachers to use insight problems as promoters of creativity in secondary school classrooms.</span></p>
