<p>We estimated the annual average daily GHG emissions from individual motor traffic for the OSM road network in Berlin by combining the estimated Annual Average Daily Traffic Volume (AADTV) with respective emission factors. The AADTV was calculated by simulating car trips with the open routing engine Openrouteservice, weighted by activity functions based on statistics of the German Mobility Panel.</p>
Net greenhouse gas balance of fibre wood plantation on peat in Indonesia
<p>Tropical peatlands cycle and store large amounts of carbon in their soil and biomass<sup>1–5</sup>. Climate and land-use change alter greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes of tropical peatlands, but the magnitude of these changes remains highly uncertain<sup>6–19</sup>. Here we measure net ecosystem exchanges of carbon dioxide, methane and soil nitrous oxide fluxes between October 2016 and May 2022 from <em>Acacia crassicarpa </em>plantation, degraded forest and intact forest within the same peat landscape, representing land-cover change trajectories in Sumatra, Indonesia. This allows us to present a full plantation rotation GHG flux balance in fibre wood plantation on peatland. We find that the <em>Acacia </em>plantation has lower GHG emissions than the degraded site with a similar average groundwater level (GWL), despite more intensive land use. The GHG emissions from the <em>Acacia </em>plantation over a full plantation rotation (35.2 ± 4.7 tCO<sub>2</sub>-eq ha<sup>−1</sup> year<sup>−1</sup>, average ± standard deviation) were around two times higher than those from the intact forest (20.3 ± 3.7 tCO<sub>2</sub>-eq ha<sup>−1</sup> year<sup>−1</sup>), but only half of the current Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Tier 1 emission factor (EF)<sup>20</sup> for this land use. Our results can help to reduce the uncertainty in GHG emissions estimates, provide an estimate of the impact of land-use change on tropical peat and develop science-based peatland management practices as nature-based climate solutions.</p>
Novel cropping system strategies in China can increase plant protein with higher economic value but lower greenhouse gas emissions and water use
<p> This database contains the average crop residue, manure nitrogen, manure organic carbon, net greenhouse gas emissions, and cropland area for 17 cropping systems at prefecture level during the period 2014-2018. In addition, it contained the changes of net greenhouse gas emissions caused by the optimization at prefecture level and province level.</p> <p> We also shared the key code for optimizing cropping systems at prefecture level and provided the all data. Users can run it the Matlab platform.</p>

<p>The public data repository contains the data and plotting code supporting the article entitled "Thermodynamically enhanced precipitation extremes due to counterbalancing influences of anthropogenic greenhouse gases and aerosols". The dataset includes annual maximum one-day precipitation (Rx1day), its proxy computed by a physical scaling diagnostic (scaling), and the decomposed components of the scaling (i.e., thermodynamic response, dynamic response, and their interaction). Several reanalyses (including ERA5 and JRA55) and CMIP6 simulations under several scenarios (including ALL, GHG, AER, and piControl) are applied to compute the historical Rx1day, scaling, and the associated components following a GitHub Python repository (<a href="https://github.com/oliverangelil/precip_extremes_scaling">https://github.com/oliverangelil/precip_extremes_scaling</a>). Note that the decomposed components are calculated as anomalies. </p> <p>The data results of the extreme precipitation decomposition in the NetCDF format are available in zip files “<em><strong>ERA5</strong></em>”, "<em><strong>JRA55</strong></em>", "<em><strong>ALL</strong></em>", "<em><strong>GHG</strong></em>", "<em><strong>AER</strong></em>", "<em><strong>NAT</strong></em>", and "<em><strong>piControl</strong></em>". Data for: Annotation resource for seven Botrytis cinerea isolates from greenhouses in Michigan
<p>Fungal plant pathogen <em>Botrytis cinerea</em> affects a variety of important agricultural systems, including greenhouse production. Seven isolates of B. cinerea were whole-genome sequenced to provide an additional resource providing insight regarding host specificity, fungicide resistance, and geographic relatedness in pathogen populations. Fasta files of each genome assembly, raw reads (fastq), and more information can be found under NCBI BioProject PRJNA984325. Annotation data is included here.</p>

Greenhouse tomatoes
<p>Most of this dataset was collected in a greenhouse in Chengdu, Sichuan, China on July 1, 2022. A smaller portion was obtained from <a href="https://zenodo.org/record/5596799">https://zenodo.org/record/5596799</a> after a selection process. The dataset primarily consists of RGB images of tomato plants captured with a mobile phone. These images encompass various lighting conditions and obstructions, effectively representing the complexity of tomato growth. The dataset comprises a total of 1474 images, which were manually annotated using the LabelImg annotation tool.</p>
Data for: Wetland productivity determines trade-off between biodiversity and greenhouse gas production
<p>The data consists of wetland nutrient, chlorophyll-<em>a</em>, methane and nitrous oxide concentrations, as well as emergence data of chironomid midges, and water temperatures. The data collection took place in 2021 in May, June, July, August and October, with simultaneous collection of chironomid emergence and water chemistry. We also calculated stoichiometric nitrogen (N) to phosphorus (P) ratios (N:P), as well as methane and nitrous oxide fluxes. The sampled chironomids were identified to genus level for all sampled months, apart from October, from which Shannon-Wiener taxonomic diversity was calculated. Additionally, genera were categorized into feeding groups based on literature and morphology from which functional feeding group Shannon-Wiener functional diversity was calculated. </p>
