Gefunden wurde die Gussform in der sp&auml;tbronzezeitlichen Ufersiedlung &quot;Zug-Sumpf&rdquo;. Die Gussform stammt aus dem Museum f&uuml;r Urgeschichte(n)&nbsp;Zug, Inventarnummer 200-1531.</p>

A fast, precise, in-vivo method for micron-level 3D models of corals using dental scanners

<p>1.  Several sampling and measurement strategies have been developed to assess biological forms in three dimensions (3D), including corals. However, the effectiveness (in speed and precision) of current 3D methods in scanning and model construction are challenging at small scales (μm – mm).</p> <p>2.  In this paper, a practical 3D scanning and model construction tool using an intra-oral dental scanner was assessed to measure the surface area and volume of coral juveniles across multiple species. Intra-oral scanners using confocal imaging are fast, precise to the μm scale, and safe to use with live tissue, thereby eliminating the need to harm or kill the animals. The trial was conducted at the National Sea Simulator at the Australian Institute of Marine Science.</p> <p>3.  High-quality 3D scans of individual coral juveniles were successfully generated and integrated automatically into high-resolution (μm) mesh from point clouds. The attained average scanning efficiency was &lt; 2 min./individual, without a significant difference in speed given coral complexity or between live colonies or dead coral skeleton.</p> <p>4.  Overall, this fast and precise system could become a promising tool for marine environmental surveys and restoration initiatives. This tool also removes the need to sacrifice animals for measurement analysis, thereby increasing conservation and animal welfare.</p>

The Kinora replica 3D model was produced in the context of the project [Doing Experimental Media Archaeology: Practice and Theory (DEMA)](https://dema.uni.lu/), funded by the *Fonds National de la Recherche*, Luxembourg (FNR) (C18/SC/12703137). The Kinora replica project was the result of a collaboration between the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) and the Department of Engineering (DoE) of the University of Luxembourg. The 3D model was developed by engineer Ing. Claude Wolf (DoE) and media historian Dr. Tim van der Heijden (C2DH). Mugdock AA Battery - Aerial 3D Model

An aerial 3D model, with my first use of a drone, of the WWII Anti Aircraft Battery at Mugdock Country Park just to the north of Milngavie. The battery consists of four gun pits and a control bunker. Fine-scale Quantification of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (APAR) in Plantation Forests with 3D Radiative Transfer Modeling and LiDAR Data

<p>In recent years, LiDAR technology has gained widespread attention for its ability to provide precise 3D vertical structural data for various objects, particularly forests. In our dataset, we utilized LiDAR data to reconstruct intricately detailed three-dimensional representations of specific larch forest landscapes. These detailed forest structural models enable us to drive three-dimensional radiative transfer models, analyze the radiation budget of the forest canopy, and gain valuable insights into fine-scale forest management strategies.</p> <p>This is the research work we conducted by combining the aforementioned 3D forest scenes with the 3D RTM LESS. If you use our data, please cite our article. You can access our publication via DOI: 10.34133/plantphenomics.0166.</p> <p>We welcome researchers interested in a wide range of fields, such as vegetation ecological applications, to communicate with us by combining 3D vegetation modeling.</p> <p><br><br></p>

Limits of the Habitable Zone CO2 atmosphere with 3D Climate Modelling

<p>Water is crucial for life, regardless of the environment. That's why in search of extraterrestrial life, we focus on planets in the habitable zone (HZ), where liquid water can exist. The size of this zone depends on factors like the star type and planet size. Using the Generic PCM model (https://lmdz-forge.lmd.jussieu.fr/mediawiki/Planets/index.php/Overview_of_the_Generic_PCM), we've defined the limits of the HZ for atmospheres dominated by CO2 in 3D for the first time. You can access the dataset from the simulations in ".nc" file format. Temporal evolution of variables such as surface temperature, surface pressure, water vapour, liquid water, ice etc. are in a 3D grid for different orbital distances and with different surface pressures are present in the dataset. We have used the correlated-k table published in Zenodo for the simulations (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.10978791).</p>
