Locations of published studies focused on Uniola paniculata and Ammophila breviligulata along the US east coast (NJ-NC)
Data is derived from a literature search performed on December 19th, 2017 by the authors. Our literature search used both forward and backward searches ("cited by" and "citing") in Google Scholar and Web of Science. In the first data table are the records for studies focusing on Uniola paniculata and Ammophila breviligulata and their occurrences (in a coastal dune context) from New Jersey to North Carolina. The second data table records statements regarding both the northern range limit of U. paniculata and statements regarding the southern range limit of A. breviligulata. Data on each document found in the literature search was recorded by the dataset authors in a shared group spreadsheet. Several different variables were recorded for each literature mention of the species, for example: study location (e.g., "Hog Island"), document information (journal name, book, DOI), year published, species (coded as "U" or "A"), where in the text the comment on occurrence was made (e.g., "first column, first paragraph, page five"). Longitude and latitude was also included with the location either defined within the document, or (if not explicitly given) a location assigned by the dataset authors based on locations provided in the text.
