Generative Machine Learning for Detector Response Modeling with a Conditional Normalizing Flow
<p>The samples are datasets used for testing in the scenarios: baseline (corr0.hdf5), correlation of 0.5 (corr50.hdf5), correlation of 1.0 (corr100.hdf5), and asymmetric detector responses (asymmetric.hdf5). Each file contains the conditional variables, generated and simulated detector responses, and generated and simulated reconstruction-level variables. </p>
Normal and abnormal eddy dataset based on the intersection of altimeters and Argos
<p>The current mainstream identification method of eddy based on the altimeter is not completely certain in determining the polarity of eddies, so we use the Argo arrays covering the global ocean to screen out abnormal eddies with subsurface potential density anomaly features opposite to surface height anomaly features, including abnormal anticyclonic eddies and abnormal cyclonic eddies. Meanwhile, for further comparing the differences between the natures of normal and abnormal eddies, we also screen out the normal eddies whose subsurface potential density anomaly features are same as surface height anomaly features, including normal anticyclonic eddies and normal cyclonic eddies. The dataset stores the location coordinate, radius, amplitude and lifetime of the eddy, as well as the float number, profile number, location coordinate, date of record of the profile in this eddy and the potential density anomaly in the depth range of 0-1000 m.</p>
A systematic evaluation of normalization methods and probe replicability using infinium EPIC methylation data
<p><strong>Background </strong></p> <p>The Infinium EPIC array measures the methylation status of > 850,000 CpG sites. The EPIC BeadChip uses a two-array design: Infinium Type I and Type II probes. These probe types exhibit different technical characteristics which may confound analyses. Numerous normalization and pre-processing methods have been developed to reduce probe type bias as well as other issues such as background and dye bias. <strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Methods</strong></p> <p>This study evaluates the performance of various normalization methods using 16 replicated samples and three metrics: absolute beta-value difference, overlap of non-replicated CpGs between replicate pairs, and effect on beta-value distributions. Additionally, we carried out Pearson's correlation and intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) analyses using both raw and SeSAMe 2 normalized data. <strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Results</strong></p> <p>The method we define as SeSAMe 2, which consists of the application of the regular SeSAMe pipeline with an additional round of QC, pOOBAH masking, was found to be the best-performing normalization method, while quantile-based methods were found to be the worst performing methods. Whole-array Pearson's correlations were found to be high. However, in agreement with previous studies, a substantial proportion of the probes on the EPIC array showed poor reproducibility (ICC < 0.50). The majority of poor-performing probes have beta values close to either 0 or 1, and relatively low standard deviations. These results suggest that probe reliability is largely the result of limited biological variation rather than technical measurement variation. Importantly, normalizing the data with SeSAMe 2 dramatically improved ICC estimates, with the proportion of probes with ICC values > 0.50 increasing from 45.18% (raw data) to 61.35% (SeSAMe 2).</p>

<p>This dataset, developed to substantiate the findings of the study by Zhuang et al. [1], comprises 1,521 building envelopes from the Central Business District (CBD) of New York City (NYC), represented in three formats: the wavefront (obj) format, the Signed Distance Function (SDF) format and 3D binary-volume format. </p> <p>The original mesh data is procured from the NYC Open Data Portal [2]. Scanning gate microscopy of non-retracing electron-hole trajectories in a normal-superconductor junction - code
<p>We theoretically study the Scanning Gate Microscopy (SGM) of the electron and hole trajectories in a Normal-Superconductor (NS) interface where a Quantum Point Contact (QPC) is embedded. In the zero bias case, electrons after getting Andreev reflected as a hole from the NS interface, have a similar wave vector, which causes the self-interference pattern in the SGM conductance plots. For the nonzero bias case, electrons and holes have different wave vectors. As a result, a disturbed and branched flow SGM conductance map is observed. Also by plotting the probability currents, we can clearly see the difference in two cases. The code contains all of these calculations.</p>

<p>A single-cell spatial-temporal transcriptomic atlas of liver regeneration under normal and fibrotic condition, including a total of 30 mouse liver samples obtained from 15 normal and 15 fibrotic mice at timepoints Day 0, 1, 2, 3, and 7 after a partial hepatectomy (PHx) procedure with three replicates for each time point, followed by the scRNA-seq and SRT sequencing for each sample using the Stereo-seq platform. </p>

OBTENÇÃO DE FLUXO CORONARIANO NORMAL (TIMI 3) APÓS ANGIOPLASTIA PRIMÁRIA EM RELAÇÃO AO TERRITÓRIO ARTERIAL ACOMETIDO EM PORTADORES DE INFARTO AGUDO DO MIOCÁRDIO COM SUPRADESNIVELAMENTO DO SEGMENTO ST ATENDIDOS EM HOSPITAL DE ANÁPOLIS/GO NO PERÍODO DE 2010 A 2013.
<p>O Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio com Supradesnivelamento do Segmento ST (IAMCSST), representa no contexto médico atual, um grave problema de saúde pública, devido a sua alta mortalidade, significativo prejuízo a qualidade de vida dos pacientes acometidos, além dos expendiosos gastos gerados para os cofres públicos. Este trabalho tem foco na terapêutica da angioplastia primária, técnica preferencial para uma eficaz reperfusão da artéria coronária acometida, essencial para reduzir os índices de morbimortalidade dos pacientes acometidos pelo infarto agudo do miocárdio.</p><p>A metodologia utilizada consiste na consulta a prontuários e exames fornecidos pelo banco de dados do hospital em questão da realização da pesquisa, para fornecimento dos dados necessários, incluindo sexo, idade e território arterial acometido, com subsequente avaliação da eficácia da obtenção do fluxo coronariano TIMI 3 após angioplastia primária. </p><p>Em uma população de 322 pacientes, foram selecionados 219 que se adequavam nos critérios de inclusão, contabilizando 155 homens (70,77%) e 64 mulheres (29,22%). A média de idade foi de 63,5 anos. Em relação à classificação TIMI, 165 pacientes (75,34%) obtiveram fluxo normal TIMI 3. Encontrou-se que o sub-ramo mais acometido foi o descendente anterior da coronária esquerda, em 91 dos pacientes (41,55%). Destes, 60,43% cursaram com fluxo normal TIMI 3 após angioplastia primária.</p><p>Mediante os resultados encontrados, e amparados nas demais pesquisas realizadas, conclui-se que a angioplastia primária é instrumento eficaz na diminuição da morbimortalidade em pacientes portadores de Infarto Agudo do Miocárdio com Supra-desnivelamento do Segmento ST (IAMCSST).</p>
