Open Lowland Environmental Monitoring Station, Black Rock Forest, NY, raw hourly data

Black Rock Forest maintains the Open Lowland real-time weather station at 129 Continental Rd, Cornwall, NY. The system was designed to measure air temperature (average, maximum, minimum), relative humidity (average, maximum, minimum), average vapor pressure, dew point temperature, photosynthetically active solar radiation, net global solar radiation, mean horizontal wind speed, mean wind direction, standard deviation of wind direction, maximum wind speed, precipitation amount, barometric pressure (average, maximum, minimum), and average soil temperature at two depths. Other sensors are used to measure snow depth, CO2 concentration, and albedo. Data are collected from the Open Lowland Station using a CR1000. Most instruments have a sample interval of 1 minute. The program records averages, minimum or maximum of those 1-minute readings every hour. Rainfall is totals for the 1 hour period.

SOils DAta Harmonization database (SoDaH): an open-source synthesis of soil data from research networks

This SOils DAta Harmonization (SoDaH) database is designed to bring together soil carbon data from diverse research networks into a harmonized dataset that can be used for synthesis activities and model development. The research network sources for SoDaH span different biomes and climates, encompass multiple ecosystem types, and have collected data across a range of spatial, temporal, and depth gradients. The rich data sets assembled in SoDaH consist of observations from monitoring efforts and long-term ecological experiments. The SoDaH database also incorporates related environmental covariate data pertaining to climate, vegetation, soil chemistry, and soil physical properties. The data are harmonized and aggregated using open-source code that enables a scripted, repeatable approach for soil data synthesis.

It offered instruments for designing educational interventions in two simple phases:</p> <ol> <li>A conceptual (but dialogical!) introduction</li> <li>A &ldquo;hands on&rdquo; exercise</li> </ol> <p>The virtual environment used was Blackboard Collaborate as organized and supported by ALT and the OER20 Committee. In these conditions, 73 participants (conference attendees and external participants) engaged in the activity. The participants that expressed their geographical positions (when introducing themselves via the chat in the virtual conference environment) showed diversity, though most participants came from the UK,&nbsp; elsewhere in Europe, and some from Latin America.</p>

Open anonymous repo hosting code and data for our submission in ASE 2020

<p>This repository presents sample publicly available anonymous source code and data&nbsp;for our submission in ASE 2020 conference.</p> <p>ProgressDroid source code is provided.</p> <p>Data for 10 top apps with the highest number of installs from our dataset are presented.</p> <p>For each app, we provide the following information:</p> <p>- The original APK file for the examined app.</p> <p>- The instrumented APK file using the extended Instrumenter module</p> <p>- Complete trace from running the extended AndroidSlicer tool on each app</p> <p>- Complete list of all UI update points in each specific app</p> <p>- List of slicing criteria for dynamic slicing&nbsp;</p> <p>- List of slices from the automated dynamic slicing analysis&nbsp;</p> <p>- List of all progress indicator occurrences for each trace&nbsp;</p> <p>- Complete runtime trace info including all events and states (including screenshots) &nbsp;</p> <p>Upon acceptance,&nbsp; we&rsquo;ll complete the data sharing for all our dataset.</p>

La Digital Libray open data della Biblioteca del Comune di Mottola - Progetto "Terra delle Gravine"

<p><em>Terra delle Gravine tra sharing economy e turismo esperienziale</em><a href="#_ftn1">[1]</a> &egrave; un progetto finanziato dalla Regione Puglia a un consorzio di dodici comuni della provincia di Taranto, finalizzato alla formazione di studenti di scuola secondaria superiore nella descrizione di risorse digitali relative al patrimonio culturale in formato open data e alla creazione di una piattaforma, sempre in formato Open Data, di contenuti relativi ai beni culturali dei comuni coinvolti.</p> <p>Le attivit&agrave; sono state progettate e realizzate tra il 2017 e il 2018 dal Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici &ndash; DISUM dell&rsquo;Universit&agrave; degli Studi di Bari e dalla spin off DABIMUS S.r.l. in collaborazione con l&rsquo;Open Data Manager Pierfrancesco Paolicelli.</p> <p>I percorsi formativi e i tracciati in Open Data da utilizzare per indicizzare i beni considerati sono stati progettati in relazione alle diverse classi di beni culturali oggetto di interesse, che hanno incluso beni monumentali, beni storico artistici e demo-etnoantropologici e beni librari.</p> <p>Il DISUM, nella persona del prof. Data from: Assessing species boundaries in the open sea: an integrative taxonomic approach to the pteropod genus Diacavolinia

To track changes in pelagic biodiversity in response to climate change, it is essential to accurately define species boundaries. Shelled pteropods are a group of holoplanktonic gastropods that have been proposed as bio-indicators because of their vulnerability to ocean acidification. A particularly suitable, yet challenging group for integrative taxonomy is the pteropod genus Diacavolinia, which has a circumglobal distribution and is the most species-rich pteropod genus, with 24 described species. We assessed species boundaries in this genus, with inferences based on geometric morphometric analyses of shell-shape variation, genetic (cytochrome c oxidase subunit I, 28S rDNA sequences) and geographic data. We found support for a total of 13 species worldwide, with observations of 706 museum and 263 freshly collected specimens across a global collection of material, including holo‐ and paratype specimens for 14 species. In the Atlantic Ocean, two species are well supported, in contrast to the eight currently described, and in the Indo‐Pacific we found a maximum of 11 species, partially merging 13 of the described species. Distributions of these revised species are congruent with well-known biogeographic provinces. Combining varied datasets in an integrative framework may be suitable for many diverse taxa and is an important first step to predicting species-specific responses to global change.

Data from: One and two year visual outcomes from the Moorfields age-related macular degeneration database: a retrospective cohort study and an open science resource

Objectives: To analyse treatment outcomes and share clinical data from a large, single-center, well-curated database (8174 eyes / 6664 patients with 120,756 single entries) of patients with neovascular age related macular degeneration (AMD) treated with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). By making our depersonalised raw data openly available, we aim to stimulate further research in AMD, as well as setting a precedent for future work in this area. Setting: Retrospective, comparative, non-randomised electronic medical record (EMR) database cohort study of the UK Moorfields AMD database with data extracted between 2008 and 2018. Participants: Including one eye per patient, 3357 eyes/patients (61% female). Extraction criteria were ≥ 1 ranibizumab or aflibercept injection, entry of "AMD" in the diagnosis field of the EMR, and a minimum of one year of follow-up. Exclusion criteria were unknown date of first injection and treatment outside of routine clinical care at Moorfields before the first recorded injection in the database. Main outcome measures: Primary outcome measure was change in VA at one and two years from baseline as measured in Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) letters. Secondary outcomes were the number of injections and predictive factors for VA gain. Results: Mean VA gain at one-year and two years were +5.5 (95%CI:5.0,6.0) and +4.9 (95%CI:4.2,5.6) letters respectively. Fifty-four percent of eyes gained ≥5 letters at two years, 63% had stable VA (±≤14 letters), forty-four percent of eyes maintained good VA (≥70 letters). Patients received a mean of 7.7 (95%CI:7.6,7.8) injections during year one and 13.0 (95%CI:12.8,13.2) injections over two years. Younger age, lower baseline VA, and more injections were associated with higher VA gain at two years. Conclusion: This study benchmarks high quality EMR study results of real life AMD treatment and promotes open science in clinical AMD research by making the underlying data publicly available.

Data From: TERRA-REF, An open reference data set from high resolution genomics, phenomics, and imaging sensors

<p>The ARPA-E funded TERRA-REF project is generating open-access reference datasets for the study of plant sensing, genomics, and phenomics. Sensor data were generated by a field scanner sensing platform that captures color, thermal, hyperspectral, and active flourescence imagery as well as three dimensional structure and associated environmental measurements. This dataset is provided alongside data collected using traditional field methods in order to support calibration and validation of algorithms used to extract plot level phenotypes from these datasets.</p> <p>Data were collected at the University of Arizona Maricopa Agricultural Center in Maricopa, Arizona. <br> This site hosts a large field scanner with fifteen sensors, many of which are capable of capturing mm-scale images and point clouds at daily to weekly intervals.</p> <p>These data are intended to be re-used, and are accessible as a combination of files and databases linked by spatial, temporal, and genomic information. In addition to providing open access data, the entire computational pipeline is open source, and we enable users to access high-performance computing environments.</p> <p>The study has evaluated a sorghum diversity panel, biparental cross populations, and elite lines and hybrids from structured sorghum breeding populations. <br> In addition, a durum wheat diversity panel was grown and evaluated over three winter seasons.<br> The initial release includes derived data from from two seasons in which the sorghum diversity panel was evaluated.<br> Future releases will include data from additional seasons and locations.</p> <p>The TERRA-REF reference dataset can be used to characterize phenotype-to-genotype associations, on a genomic scale, that will enable knowledge-driven breeding and the development of higher-yielding cultivars of sorghum and wheat. <br> The data is also being used to develop new algorithms for machine learning, image analysis, genomics, and optical sensor engineering.</p>

Solar panels and solar farms in the UK - geographic open data (UKPVGeo)

<p>We present the results of a major crowd-sourcing campaign to create open geographic data for over 260,000 solar PV installations across the UK, covering the vast majority of the capacity in the country. We focus in particular on capturing small-scale domestic solar PV, which accounts for a significant fraction of generation but was until now very poorly documented.</p> <p>The data we introduce will enable decarbonisation at national scales, through forecasting and management of generation, and also serves as a training dataset for machine vision detection of new PV.</p> <p>For a complete description please see <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-020-00739-0">the research paper describing the dataset</a>. Please cite this paper in any academic use of the data.</p>
