DEEP Lakes Grant Program water quality assessment, CT, 1937-2006
“The water quality of lakes in Connecticut has historically been assessed by the CTDEP using best professional judgment as a follow-up to citizen complaints. The CTDEP possesses a number of lake technical studies (dredging feasibility studies, drainage studies, and diagnostic/feasibility studies) that were completed by local municipalities and lake associations using funding provided through the Connecticut Lakes Grant Program. Many of these reports contain data regarding lake water quality and limnological and watershed characteristics."
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, Michigan's Lake Water Quality Assessment Program (MI-LWQA), 2001-2010
The sampling methodology and program was designed to replicate the methods used historically by MI-DEQ to sample inland lakes in the 1970-1980’s. Each year, lakes were selected randomly from 7-10 major watersheds in MI. Watersheds were monitored in a 5-yr cycle in conjunctions with current MI-DEQ water quality activities. Lakes > 25 acres were chosen that had public boat access.

<p><br> The data used was obtained from a section of the lead zinc concentrator at the Mount Isa Mines in Queensland, Australia.The data collected for this investigation consists of two months of plant operation, collected at a a frequency of one minute. The historian’s interpolation routine is used to ensure the data is aligned. No special care was used to ensure that the data had any particular characteristics, other than that the plant was running. It was reported that during this period some step tests had been conducted. Forty-three variables were collected: for each of the PID controllers, setpoint, process value and output (SV/PV/MV) were recorded. The three analysers provide measure of iron, lead and zinc percentages.</p>
