Rutgers 2002 - 2007 HF Radar 06 km Surface Currents

This dataset was created for the research done in the following research: Seasonal climatology of wind-driven circulation on the New Jersey Shelf authored by Donglai Gong, Josh Kohut and Scott Glenn https://doi.org/10.1029/2009JC005520. The original dataset used in the research was a .mat file. To bring it to more modern standards, this dataset has been converted to a netcdf and possesses most of the required compliance measures for Climate and Forecasting data revision 1.6. The data has been regridded from the original grid to the current MARACOOS 06 km grid. The dataset contains east/west and north/south velocities derived from the HF radar off the coast of New Jersey from 2002 - 2007.
