Droplet collapse during strongly supercooled transitions: Movies of collapsing droplets

Movies of collapse of spherically symmetric droplets in a first order phase transition. The movies are based on Figures 5 and 6 of the paper Droplet collapse during strongly supercooled transitions [arXiv:2204.03396]. Each movie shows the evolution of the order parameter \(\phi\) relative to the true vacuum value \(\phi_b\), the fluid velocity \(v\), and the temperature \(T\) relative to the critcal temperature \(T_c\). The transition strength, \(\alpha\), is given in the filename.

The movies which include "limits" in the filename have fixed y-axis limits, whereas the other two movies let the y-axis range freely in each frame.

Microscopy time-lapse of DNA droplet dispersion by amphiphile-motifs

Time-lapse microscopy data of DNA Y-motifs (color channel 1) and DNA amphiphile-motifs (color channel 2), time step between consecutive time points is 3 minutes. Data were recorded with ambient heating of the microscope enclosure to 40°C. Data were 3D-deconvolved (Richardson-Lucy, 8 iterations), The repository contains the data saved from the microscope software (NIS Elements) as well as the exported .tif data. Sometimes problems occur with import from .nd2 when using the BioFormats importer, in this case it is recommended to instead use the .tiff data. The final figure produced from the raw data is also included as a .png and the source .svg file.

Additional image information

Objective: Apo LWD 40x WI λS DIC N2

Width: 99.9375 microns (615)
Height: 99.9375 microns (615)
Depth: 12.6 microns (21)
Size: 30MB
Resolution: 6.1538 pixels per micron
Voxel size: 0.1625x0.1625x0.6 micron^3

The architecture of Cidec-mediated interfaces between lipid droplets

We study the dynamics of lipid droplet growth mediated by CIDEC. We utilised confocal live fluorescent microscopy in Hela cells conditionally overexpressed untagged, SUMOStar- or EGFP-tagged CIDEC WT for this purpose. The dataset uploaded here are raw confocal live cell imaging data that was analysed and published in 'Ganeva I, Lim K, Boulanger J, Hoffmann PC, Muriel O, Borgeaud AC, Hagen WJH, Savage DB, Kukulski, W. The architecture of Cidec-mediated interfaces between lipid droplets. Cell Reports. 2023, in press.'
