<p>FESOM (v1.4) model data used in the paper 'Simulated signatures of Greenland melting in the North Atlantic: a model comparison with Argo floats, satellite observations, and ocean reanalysis’ (submitted to JGR Oceans for review) by Stolzenberger et al.</p> <p>The data set consists of monthly simulated potential temperature, salinity and sea surface elevation fields for high and low resolution, including (GF) and excluding (NGF) Greenland freshwater forcing, for the North Atlantic (NA, 50°N-86°N), and for the time period 1993-2016.</p> <p>Furthermore, steric height changes from the inversion output is available as time series for the time period 2002-2016.</p>
Raw data to "Macrophage Plasticity and Polarization Are Altered in the Experimental Model of Multiple Sclerosis"
<p>Background: Macrophages have been identified as one of the major effectors of inflammation and demyelination in both MS and its animal model, experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). However, the activation and heterogeneity of macrophages in MS is not fully understood.</p> <p>Results: We performed a complete immunophenotyping of M1 and M2 macrophages from EAE and control mice through polychromatic flow cytometry. We found that M1 macrophages possessed a higher proinflammatory profile in EAE compared to control mice, since they expressed higher levels of activation/co-stimulatory markers (iNOS, CD40 and CD80) (Table 1), cytokines/chemokines (IL-6, IL-12, CCL2 and CXCL10) (Table 2) and a higher expression of Toll-like receptors (TLR2) 2 and 5 (Table 3). On the contrary, M2 of EAE mice lost their M2-like phenotype by showing a decreased expression of their signature markers CD206, CD11c, CD44 and CCL22, and a concomitant upregulation of several M1 makers such as iNOS, CD40, CD80/CD86 (Table 1) and proinflammatory CCL22 (Table 2) and TLR4 and 8.</p> <p>Conclusions: Our data account for a phenotypic alteration of M1/M2 balance during MS and this can be of crucial importance not only for a better understanding of the immunopathology of this neurodegenerative disease but also to potentially develop new macrophage-centered therapeutic strategies</p>

Each netCDF file contains daily output (as means or instantaneous values -- as indicated in the name) for January-February-March of the given year. Model data of White et al. (2022, Climate of the Past)
<p>This contains the scripts and model and proxy data to reproduce Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 10 in White et al. (2022, Climate of the Past).</p> <p>Abstract. Paleoclimate reconstructions have identified a period of exceptional summer and winter cooling in the North Atlantic region following the eruption of the tropical volcano Huaynaputina (Peru) in 1600 CE CE3 . A previous study based on numerical climate simulations has indicated a potential mechanism for the persistent cooling in a slowdown of the North Atlantic subpolar gyre (SPG) and consequent ocean–atmosphere feedbacks. To examine whether this mechanism could have been triggered by the Huaynaputina eruption, this study compares the simulations used in the previous study both with and without volcanic forcing and this SPG shift to reconstructions from annual proxies in natural archives and historical written records as well as contemporary historical observations of relevant climate and environmental conditions. These reconstructions and observations demonstrate patterns of cooling and sea-ice expansion consistent with, but not indicative of, an eruption trigger for the proposed SPG slowdown mechanism. The results point to possible improvements in future model–data comparison studies utilizing historical written records. Moreover, we consider historical societal impacts and adaptations associated with the reconstructed climatic and environmental<br> anomalies.</p>

<p>This file contains supporting data for the manuscript "A one-year-long evaluation of a wind-farm parameterisation in HARMONIE-AROME" by van Stratum et al. 2022 in JAMES. </p> <p>- model_output: contains NetCDF files with HARMONIE-AROME for specific columns for the lidar locations, only for the WIPAFF flight comparison the full 3D hourly fields are given for one day. Files containing "DOWA_40h12tg2_fERA5_ptE" are the reference simulations and files containing "DOWA_40h12tg2_fERA5_WF2019_fix" are output from the wind farm parameterisation simulations. <br> - input_HARMONIE_WFP: contains the input files used for the wind farm parameterisation, where wind_turbine_coordinates.tab contains the locations of all wind turbines and the turbine type, and wind_turbine_0XX.tab the cp/ct curves, radius and hub height for each turbine type. </p> <p>The measurements used in the manuscript are from various external sources and should be downloaded separately.</p>
