This data set contains reformatted records derived from data returned by the Voyager Ultraviolet Spectrometer Subsystem on board Voyager 2 during the Jupiter encounter phase of the Voyager mission. Original instrument data were merged with ancillary data from footprint SEDR files provided by the Voyager Project at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The final product files are formatted as PDS binary tables.

JUNO JUPITER RAW GRAVITY SCIENCE 1 V1.0
This data set contains archival raw, partially processed, and ancillary/supporting gravity science data acquired during the Juno Jupiter orbits starting in July 2016. The radio observations were carried out using the Juno spacecraft and Earth-based receiving stations of the NASA Deep Space Network (DSN). The data set was designed primarily to determine the gravitational field of Jupiter. Of most interest are likely to be the Orbit Data Files in the ODF directory, which provided the raw input to gravity investigations, as well as the tropospheric media calibration file produced by the Advanced Media Calibration (AMC) system.
ULYSSES JUPITER SOLAR CORONA EXPER. RANGING DATA 10 MIN AVG
The Ulysses spacecraft was occulted by the Io Plasma Torus (IPT) during its Jupiter encounter on 8 February 1992. The Ulysses dual-frequency radio subsystem used by the Ulysses Solar Corona Experiment (SCE) was utilized to measure the electron content (column density) of the IPT [BIRDETAL1992B]. In the nominal mode for radio-sounding observations [BIRDETAL1992A], both downlinks (S-band: f_s = 2.3 GHz X-band: f_x = 8.4 GHz) are phase coherent with the uplink (S-band: f_u = 2.1 GHz). The dual-frequency radio-sounding technique exploits the dispersive nature of ionized media on the propagation of the two downlinks. The tiny Doppler shift due to plasma moving in and out of the ray path is greater at S-band than at the higher frequency X-band.

VOYAGER 2 JUPITER/SHOEMAKER-LEVY 9 UVS NULL RESULTS V1.0
A preliminary examination of the Ultraviolet Spectrometer (UVS) data revealed no obvious detections of anything which might correspond with the impact phenomena. In order to investigate the possibility that more subtle impact-related events were present in the data and to establish a formal statistical upper limit for the non-detection of the impacts, we performed a statistical analysis as described in the DPS poster paper 'Voyager 2 UVS Observations of Jupiter During the Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 Impact Events', by R. J. Vervack et al. [VERVACKETAL1995]
GALILEO NIMS SPECTRAL IMAGE CUBES: JUPITER OPERATIONS
The natural form of imaging spectrometer data is the spectral image cube. It is normally in band sequential format, but has a dual nature. It is a series of 'images' of the target, each in a different wavelength, in ascending order. It is also a set of spectra, each at a particular line and sample, over the target area. Each spectrum describes a small portion of the area. When transformed into cubes, the data may be analyzed spatially, an image at a time, or spectrally, a spectrum at a time, or in more complex spatial-spectral fashion.
VG1 LECP 0.4 SEC HIGH RESOLUTION JUPITER NEAR ENCOUNTER DATA
This near encounter data set consists of electron and ion counting rate data from the Low Energy Charged Particle (LECP) experiment on Voyager 1 while the spacecraft was within the very close vicinity of Jupiter. This instrument measures the intensities of in-situ charged particles ( >15 keV electrons and >30 keV ions) with various levels of discrimination based on energy range and mass species. The LECP data are globally calibrated to the extent possible. Particles include low energy electrons, protons, alpha particles, medium energy protons and ions, high energy and intensity protons, electrons, alpha particles, and Z >= nuclei.
VOYAGER 1&2 JUPITER IRIS DERIVED NORTH/SOUTH PARAMETERS V1.0
The data set contains Jovian atmospheric parameters derived from spectra obtained with the Voyager infrared interferometer spectrometer (IRIS). The data set is ordered by time as measured by the Flight Data System Count (FDSC). This represents the data frame number modulo 60. Also included in the data set are information on pointing and associated geometry of the measurements and brightness temperatures obtained from measured radiances at selected wavenumbers.
NEW HORIZONS SWAP JUPITER ENCOUNTER RAW V4.0
This data set contains Raw data taken by the New Horizons Solar Wind Around Pluto instrument during the Jupiter encounter mission phase. This is VERSION 4.0 of this data set. During the Jupiter mission phase, SWAP made near-continuous science observations, taking data between 2 and 12 times per hour. Inbound to Jupiter, real-time science mode data were taken twice per hour, then 12 measurements were recorded per hour in the Jupiter tail. The Jupiter tail observations continue until about 100 days after closest approach, which corresponds to about 2200 RJ downstream. The changes in Version 4.0 were re-running of the ancillary data in the data product, updated geometry from newer SPICE kernels, minor editing of the documentation, catalogs, etc., and resolution of liens from the December, 2014 review, plus those from the May, 2016 review of the Pluto Encounter data sets. No new observations were added with Version 4.0.

VOYAGER 2 JUPITER MAGNETOMETER RESAMPLED DATA 48.0 SEC
This data set includes Voyager 2 Jupiter encounter magnetometer data that have been resampled at a 48.0 second sample rate. The data set is composed of 6 columns: 1) ctime - this column contains the data acquisition time. The time is always output in the ISO standard spacecraft event time format (yyyy-mm-dd-Thh:mm:ss.sss) but is stored internally in Cline time which is measured in seconds after 00:00:00.000 Jan 01, 1966, 2) br - this column contains the radial component of the magnetic field, 3) bphi - this column contains the phi component of the magnetic field, 4) btheta - this column contains the theta component of the magnetic field, 5) bmag - this column contains the magnitude of the magnetic field, 6) flag - a flag value that indicates either software error or spacecraft hardware interference reduced confidence in this record (flag value of 1 is bad , 0 is good or unchecked). All magnetic field observations are measured in nanoTeslas. The coordinate system for this dataset is Minus System III. All of the magnetic field data are calibrated (see the instrument calibration description for more details). At the ESO La Silla site is a direct imaging facility (DIFA) at the A Nasmyth focus of the NTT, in front of the image derotator which feeds the IRSPEC infrared spectrograph. Two remotely-controlled 45-degree mirrors can be inserted in the light beam to deviate the telescope beam either to a CCD camera (SUSI) or to an infrared array.

At the ESO La Silla site is a direct imaging facility (DIFA) at the A Nasmyth focus of the NTT, in front of the image derotator which feeds the IRSPEC infrared spectrograph. Two remotely-controlled 45-degree mirrors can be inserted in the light beam to deviate the telescope beam either to a CCD camera (SUSI) or to an infrared array. In the configuration which has been implemented, SUSI is equipped with a Tektronix 1024**2 CCD with high quantum efficiency from the UV to the near infrared. The CCD pixel size corresponds to 0.13 arcsec in the focal plane of the NTT. A filter wheel and a shutter are located in front of the CCD.
VOYAGER 1&2 JUPITER BRIGHTNESS NORTH/SOUTH MAP SET V1.0
This data set contains Voyager 1 and 2 measurements of the brightness of Jupiter at H Lyman alpha and in the H2 Lyman and Werner bands shortward of H Lyman alpha. Pointing has been corrected by the C-Smithing process, and these data were derived from the pre-encounter North-South Map sequences. In this sequence, the UVS field of view was located near the central meridian of the planet. The field of view stepped slowly from north to south, and then rapidly repositioned to the north. These scans were repeated until all Jovian longitudes had been sampled. Coverage in longitude was not continuous in time. Rather, some longitude ranges were covered on the preceding or following rotation of Jupiter.
