If there's something strange in your neighborhood... Who you gonna call? Hook & Ladder Company No. 8 – Ghostbusters HQ. Located at 14 North Moore Street in Tribeca, this is the headquarters of the Ghostbusters from the cult film franchise which released the films in 1984, a sequel in 1989 and a reboot in 2016. While the fire station may be most recognizable from the films, it has a long history dating back over 100 years to before 1866. This is the year that the independent firefighting outfit Hook and Ladder Company No. 8 made this spot their home. Fish hook shank, XFP-031, Sanak Island, Alaska
Fish hook shank, XFP-031, Sanak Island, Alaska. XFP-031-8 XFP-031 is a group of house depressions on the north shore of Sanak Island, Alaska. Multiple radiocarbon dates place it from 350 BCE to 100 BCE, placing it in the Adamagan Phase of the Alaska Peninsula. These artifacts were scanned with either a Faro Edge Arm or a Minolta Vivid 9i. Processed in Geomagic or Polyworks. 4-8 photos were used for texture in Geomagic Wrap. The Sanak Island artifacts are presented as a result of the research conducted under grants NSF 0326584, NSF 0508101, NSF 1139266, NSF 1321411. H. Maschner, Principal Investigator.
