Conductivity Temperature Depth (CTD) sensor profile data binned by depth from PAL LTER annual cruises, 1991 - 2017 (ongoing).
Since 1991 (and ongoing), the PAL LTER program has deployed a SeaBird 911+ CTD mounted on a 24-bottle rosette during annual (Austral Summer) cruises plus a few supplemental cruises at other times of the year. An equal area grid oriented parallel to the average coast provides the basis for sampling, as well as specific process studies and on-the-fly scientific needs. The CTD-rosette is lowered into the ocean (usually to just above the sea-floor) using the ship's conductive-wire winch. Data is collected and displayed real-time to ensure quality and make decisions about where to collect seawater with the bottles. Bottle data is typically collected extensively in the seasaonal mixed layer and pycnocline, plus at Tmin, in the permament pycnolcine and at Tmax and Smax, as well as near the bottom. Bottle data allows measurement adn calculation of additional variables and helps ensure quality data collected via sensors. Sensors include: Pressure, Conductivity (for Salinity), Temperature, Oxygen, Transmissometer, Flourometer, Photosynthetically Available Radiation (PAR/Irrandiance). Additional Bottle Data Variables include: Phosphate, Silicate, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonium. After each cruise, Temperature, Conductivity and Oxygen sensors are calbrated and post-crusie processing is applied, making use of pre- and post- cruise calibrations as well as SeaBird software and algorithms for getting the best quality data. Each profile is then inspected for any issues and if needed, suitable corrections are made such as using secondary sensors (temperature, conductivity and oxygen all currently measured in duplicate), using the upcast, or flagging the data as bad.
TOPEX ALTIMETER SENSOR DATA RECORD
The Sensory Data Record (SDR) is similar to the GDR product except that it also contains waveforms, which are required for retracking. This is an expert level product. If you do not need the waveforms then the GDR should suit your needs.
BOREAS RSS-02 Level-1b ASAS Image Data: At-sensor Radiance in BSQ Format
The BOREAS RSS-02 team used the ASAS instrument, mounted on the NASA C-130 aircraft, to create at-sensor radiance images of various sites as a function of spectral wavelength, view geometry (combinations of view zenith angle, view azimuth angle, solar zenith angle, and solar azimuth angle), and altitude. The level-1b ASAS images of the BOREAS study areas were collected from April to September 1994 and March to July 1996. The data are provided in binary image format files.

Weight, Temperature and Humidity Sensor Data of Honey Bee Colonies in Germany, 2019 - 2022
<p>Files:</p> <p>bob_publication_data.zip<br>Sensor data in 1-minute, 1-hour and 1-day interval, processed and unprocessed version as described in data paper. Inspection data with beekeepers' meta-information collected using web app.</p> <p>bob_raw_data.zip<br>Raw sensor data with original measurement interval, mostly 5 or 10 seconds.</p> <p>bob_code_publication.zip<br>Code we used to prepare the data. We anonymised sections with personal keys and passwords.</p> <p>Abstract:</p> <p><br>We present sensor data from 78 honey bee colonies in Germany collected as part of a citizen science project. Each honey bee hive was equipped with five temperature sensors within the hive, one temperature sensor for outside measurements, a combined sensor for temperature, ambient air pressure and humidity, and a scale to measure the weight. During the data acquisition period, beekeepers used a web app to report their observations and beekeeping activities.<br>We provide the raw data with a measurement interval of up to 5 seconds as well as aggregated data, with per minute, hourly or daily average values. Furthermore, we performed several preprocessing steps, removing outliers with a threshold based approach, excluding changes in weight that were induced by beekeeping activities and combining the sensor data with the most important meta-data from the beekeepers' observations. The data is organised in directories based on the year of recording. Alternatively, we provide subsets of the data structured based on the occurrence or non-occurrence of a swarming event or the death of a colony.<br>The data can be analysed using methods from time series analysis, time series classification or other data science approaches to form a better understanding of specifics in the development of honey bee colonies.</p> <p>Information:</p> <p>The first three years of the citizen science project were funded by the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).</p>
