Deep-Drawn U-Shaped Sheet Metal CAD Files Derived from NHTSA Crash Vehicles

<p>This dataset contains 90 U-shaped CAD geometries that are derived from the NHTSA crash vehicle simulation models. The geometries undergo a series of modifications:</p> <ul> <li>Shape Filtering: Select meshes suitable for deep drawing with a U-shaped profile.</li> <li>Duplicate Removal: Exclude symmetrical duplicates from vehicle structures.</li> <li>Boundary Representation Entity Definition: Place vertices on characteristic mesh features. Connect vertices with edges. Create faces from closed edge loops.</li> <li>Model Transformation: Orient models with drawing direction along -z, length along x, and width along y.</li> </ul> <p>The final CAD geometries represent the post-deep drawing state. Geometries are provided in neutral STEP format, each accompanied by an image. Further specifications are given in the associated publication(s).</p> <p>We want to thank the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for providing the crash models and the allowance to publish a dataset. We want to inform users of the dataset that a sophisticated engineering evaluation has to be conducted whether the provided models should be used in crash simulation.</p>

HybridCAD++: Expanded Dataset for Hybrid Additive-Subtractive Manufacturing Feature Recognition in B-Rep CAD Models

<p>The<strong> <em>HybridCAD++</em> </strong>dataset is a significantly expanded version of the <strong><em>HybridCAD</em></strong> dataset, offering a larger volume of CAD models and a more comprehensive set of hybrid additive-subtractive manufacturing features. This dataset includes additional feature classes, bringing the total to <strong>36</strong>, and contains over <strong>161,000 samples</strong>&mdash;making it a unique and robust resource for machine learning applications in hybrid manufacturing feature recognition.</p> <h3>Key Differences from HybridCAD</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Increased Dataset Volume</strong>: <em>HybridCAD++</em> features a total of 161,441 CAD models, significantly larger than the original <em>HybridCAD</em> dataset.</li> <li><strong>Expanded Feature Classes</strong>: This dataset includes 36 feature labels, with newly added classes.
