Nationally Representative Social Contact Patterns among U.S. adults, August 2020-September 2021

<p>The CovidVu study is a national probability survey that collected data on SARS-CoV-2 infection in the U.S. in three rounds: August-December 2020, March-April 2021, and July-September 2021. The goal of this study was to estimate cumulative incidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection in the United States. Surveys were mailed to randomly sampled households in the U.S., and one adult member of the household filled out the questionnaire and sent back SARS-CoV-2 specimens for testing. The data collected&nbsp;included information on social contacts by age, location, and whether they were physical or nonphysical contacts, as well as key demographic information on participants. Survey weights were used to determine unbiased estimates of key parameters, and were based on the population of noninstitutionalized, housed adults (&gt;=18 years of age) in the U.S. Weights were calculated with respect to gender, age, race/ethnicity, education, income, marital status, and census division. Polidoc.net CODEBOOK: National and Regional Manifestos and other Political Documents Collected for the Research Projects "Representation in Europe: Congruence between Preferences of Elites and Voters" (REPCONG) and "The Impact of EU Cohesion Policy on European Identification" (COHESIFY)

<p>The Political Documents Archive http://www.polidoc.net/&nbsp;contains election manifestos, coalition agreements, government declarations and various other documents of political actors from developed democracies. Currently, the archive builds on a stock of more than 3000 political documents from 20 European countries. The aim of the repository is to provide political texts in order to facilitate scholarly research in different areas of comparative politics such as party competition, coalition politics, legislative decision-making or electoral behavior.</p> <p>National electoral manifestos have been collected in the course of the REPCONG project (&quot;Representation in Europe: Policy Congruence between Citizens and Elites&quot;), and the archive includes party manifestos for regional elections in several European democracies. Because the process of European integration resulted in a strengthening of regions in EU member states and in countries that want to join the European Union, the relevance of the regional level for political decision-making has increased during the last decades. Therefore, also the policy profiles of regional parties are required to get a full picture of democratic responsiveness in European states across all levels of the political system. The collection of regional manifestos was supported by the COHESIFY project (www.cohesify.eu), funded under the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The aim of COHESIFY is to study whether the European Structural and Investment Funds affect people&rsquo;s support for and identification with the European project.</p> <p>The archive is freely accessible (after a simple registration) and meant to foster rigorous research in these areas by enabling scholars to produce valid and reliable findings from empirical studies of textual data rather than unnecessarily struggling to obtain and process texts.</p>

Chacma baboon male-male greeting dataset, Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique

<p><em><strong>See README file for more complete information</strong></em></p> <p><strong>Overview:&nbsp;</strong>This dataset provides presence/absence data for each of 55 observations from Gorongosa National Park. Each observation is one male-male greeting. Data was first collected using BORIS (Friard and Gamba, 2016) following an ethogram (DOI:10.5281/zenodo.7314291), then cleaned using Python version 3.8.5 and R version 4.3.1 to format as a presence/absence matrix. Some of these observations (with observation IDs ending in "_greet[xx]" also appear in the more general approach dataset found under the following DOI&nbsp;10.5281/zenodo.10339023. A dataset of trophic state index for nation-scale lakes in China

<p>The trophic state index (TSI) serves as a key indicator for understanding the spatial pattern and temporal variation in lake eutrophication, which has not been fully explored for long-term environmental monitoring, especially for small and medium lakes. Landsat satellites provide the capability of monitoring the temporal and spatial distribution of small lakes with a 30 m spatial resolution, which offers an effective complement. Here we generated a dataset of TSI for lakes in China (CNLTSI) using Landsat archives (Landsat-5 TM, Landsat-7 ETM+, and Landsat-8 OLI) from 1984 to 2023, which contains 2693 predominantly small to medium nationwide lakes in China in the past 4 decades. The dataset produced has a spatial resolution of 30 m and varying temporal resolution due to differences in satellite overpasses and cloud interference.&nbsp;</p>

Deliverable 1.2: Collection of national reports on the citizens' future visions

<p>This deliverable presents the 30 national reports on the citizens&rsquo; future visions from the National Citizen Vision Workshops (NCVs), held as a part of the CIMULACT project.</p> <p>The main objective of CIMULACT is to add to the relevance and accountability of the European Research &amp; Innovation (R&amp;I) agenda by engaging citizens and multi-actors in the actual formulation of the European Union&rsquo;s R&amp;I agenda. The NCVs contributed to this process by engaging citizens in formulating their visions for a desirable and sustainable future.</p> <p>Over a three month period (November 2015 until January 2016) 30 NCVs were held in 30 European countries (28 EU member states, as well as Switzerland and Norway).&nbsp; At each NCV citizens met for a full day to formulate and debate their visions for desirable and sustainable futures. All together 179 visions were formulated during the NCVs by more than 1000 citizens.</p> <p>The national reports on the citizens&rsquo; future visions each includes a summary of the NCV process and presents the original and unedited visions (raw visions and six<a href="#_ftn1">[1]</a> final visions) for each country. In addition, all reports include information on participant data. The summaries and the final visions are to be found in the national language and translated into English.</p> <p>The national reports on the citizens&rsquo; future visions offer a unique opportunity to identify the European citizens&rsquo; wishes, needs and demands for a sustainable and desirable future.&nbsp; The reports may inspire and give input to experts, policy- and decision makers all over Europe, hereby enhancing Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the European Union.</p> <p>In the following, we introduce the necessary background information on how to read the national reports and interpret the visions. In addition we give a resume of the methodology and the NCV process. A deeper analysis of the results is to be found in Deliverable 1.3 &ndash;Vision Catalogue and Devliverable 2.1 &ndash;First draft of the societal needs research programme scenarios. &nbsp;</p> <p>CIMULACT is a three-year project funded by the Horizon 2020 Framework Program of the European Union. The project began in June 2015.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="#_ftnref1">[1]</a> Ireland is an exception, since this country only formulated 5 visions.</p>
