USP5 Zf-UBD Co-Crystal Structure with Compound XSR00035795a & Testing Selectivity
<p>Growth of well-diffracting co-crystals of USP5 zinc finger ubiquitin binding domain (Zf-UBD) and compound XSR00035795a to solve the structure to determine ligand interactions in the binding pocket. A surface plasmon resonance assay was used to determine if methyl group on carboxylic chain of compound XSR00035795a confers selectivity to USP5 versus HDAC6. </p>
Single crystal diffraction images for a room temperature data collection on the LEF-PG co-crystal.
<p>A set of diffraction images collected on a Rigaku FRE+ diffractometer, equipped with HF Varimax confocal mirrors and an AFC12 goniometer and HG Saturn 724+ detector diffractometer.</p> <p>The sample is an organic co-crystal that forms part of a study of the LEF active pharmaceutical ingredient with a range of coformers. The structure with the PG coformer shows strong signs of modulation in the diffraction pattern and structure refinement. The model presented in the paper (submitted to Crystal Growth and Design) does not account for any modulation and serves the purpose of a suitable degree of characterisation precision for this article. </p> <p>The authors wish to make the raw data available so that those with interest and experise in handling modulated structures can perform more detailed modelling studies and/or use the data to test software or for training examples.</p>

Subpixel optical correlation co-seismic offsets for the Mw 6.4 and Mw 7.1 Ridgecrest, California earthquakes, from Copernicus Sentinel 2 data
<p>Two strong earthquakes (Mw 6.4 and Mw 7.1) took place near Ridgecrest, California, on July 4 2019 and July 6, respectively.</p> <p><a href="https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ci38443183/executive">https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ci38443183/executive</a></p> <p><a href="https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ci38457511/executive">https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/ci38457511/executive</a></p> <p>In order to assess surface ruptures and the displacement field from the earthquakes, we used subpixel image correlation with Copernicus Sentinel-2 optical imagery (Band 4). MicMac and CosiCorr software was used to to extract the 2D (East-West and North-South) horizontal co-seismic displacement field.</p> <p>Four high-resolution figures are given per method and component (EW and NS). Road network (white lines - from OpenStreetMap) and Quaternary Faults (black polylines) from USGS (<a href="https://earthquake.usgs.gov/hazards/qfaults/">https://earthquake.usgs.gov/hazards/qfaults/</a>) are used for overlay.</p> <p>Rasters are given per software used (MICMAC_ for MicMac and COSI for CosiCorr), with a pixel resolution of 20m. Final product is corrected with detrending (to remove mostly registration errors) and filtered to remove noise.
