New taxa still undescribed as of this publication are labeled with provisional abbreviations following the system of Cannings (2002). The bivittatus section (replacement name for bivittatus group sensu Cannings 2002) is the focus of this revision; the opaculus section of Cannings (2002) is no longer monophyletic in its original formulation. Other major species groups that remain mostly congruent with the classification of Cannings (2002) are indicated, as are the new basal clades we are proposing from this phylogeny.
