RESISTIRÉ Dataset: Narratives on inequalities caused by policy and societal responses to Covid-19 in Europe – third cycle

This dataset contains 289 narratives, including keywords and specifically telling quotes. It is the third of three sets of narratives collected and analysed in RESISTIRÉ. These narrative interviews were conducted in national languages by the consortium partners and a network of national researchers covering the EU27 (except Malta), and Iceland, Serbia, and the UK in September-December 2022.[1] Narrative interviewing is a qualitative research method that involves inviting participants to tell their own stories and experiences in their own words. The technique is used to collect and share a person’s story which entails both a research methodology and a mechanism for storytelling i.e. both a way of telling a story, and a way of knowing. Narratives as a technique can make visible how multiple sources of inequalities intersect, as well as the situational and contextual nature of inequalities from a single person’s perspective.

[1] For an analysis of the narratives, see Sandström, L., Callerstig, A-C., Strid, S., Lionello, L., & Rossetti, F. [Dataset] Tweets about COVID-19 Brazilian PCI

Installed in April 2021, the COVID-19 Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (PCI) aimed to investigate omissions and irregularities committed by the federal government during the COVID pandemic in Brazil, which resulted in the death of more than 660,000 Brazilians and placed it among the countries with the most deaths caused by COVID-19.

This dataset has 3,397,933 tweets, splitted in days and weeks, extracted over a period of 26 weeks. It contains textual data from tweets, data about users (@ and description), and data about interactions between users. It can be used to improve textual cleaning techniques, toxic speech detection, clustering, and even Social Network Analysis and social graph studies. Data format is parquet.

This dataset is part of a [paper](https://doi. org/10.1145/3539637.3556992)[1], published by its author, which aimed to do a social network analysis related to the CPI topic, to investigate evidence of political polarization. The source codes and jupyter notebooks are available on GitHub.

[1] Uniting Politics and Pandemic: a Social Network Analysis on the COVID Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry in Brazil. Characterization of the anti-spike IgG immune response to COVID-19 vaccines in people with a wide variety of immunodeficiencies

Research on COVID-19 vaccination in immune-deficient/disordered people (IDP) has primarily focused on cancer and organ transplantation populations. In a prospective cohort of 195 IDP and 35 healthy volunteers, anti-spike IgG was detected in 88% of IDP post-dose 2, increasing to 93% by six months post-dose 3. Despite high seroconversion, median IgG levels for IDP never surpassed 1/3 that of healthy volunteers. IgG binding to Omicron BA.1 was lower than all other variants. Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 pseudo-neutralization (% inhibition) was only modestly correlated with anti-spike IgG concentration. IgG levels were not significantly altered by participants' use of different mRNA-based vaccines, immunomodulating treatments, and prior SARS-CoV-2 infections. While our data show that three doses of COVID-19 vaccinations induce anti-spike IgG in most IDP, additional doses are needed to achieve the levels of protection in healthy volunteers. Due to the strikingly reduced IgG response to Omicron BA.1, the efficacy of additional vaccinations, including bivalent vaccines, should be studied in this population.
