Estimasi Tingkat Kesukaran Butir Antara Item Response Theory Dan Rasch Model

<p><span>Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk menyajikan hasil analisis butir soal satu parameter logistik (1-PL) menggunakan dua pendekatan yaitu pendekatan Item Respons Thoery dan Rasch model. Analisis pendekatan model IRT menggunakan bantuan software BILOG_MG dan Model Rasch menggunakan bantuan software Winsteps. Analaisis satu parameter yang dimaksud adalah tingkat kesukaran butir soal. Subjek dalam penelitian penelititan ini adalah peserta didik yang mengikuti ujian akhir mata pelajaran matematika kelas XII. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 29 peserta. Pengumpulan data menggunakan pendekatan<span>&nbsp; </span>dokumentasi. Data diperoleh melalui google form yang berisi lembar jawaban dan kunci jawaban.</span><span> </span><span>Hasil penelitian mmenunjukan bahwa terdapat angka tingkat kesukaran butir soal pada model IRT lebih besar dari angka tingkat kesukaran butir<span>&nbsp; </span>pada model rasch. Sebanyak 35 butir soal yang dianalisis memiliki selisih yang berbeda. Selisih yang paling kecil terdapat pada butir soal nomor 3 sebesar 0,01. Indeks kesukaran pada model IRT sebesar 1,27 dan indeks kesukaran pada model Rasch sebesar 1,26. Selisih terbesar terdapat pada butir soal nomor 12 sebesar 1,25. Indeks kesukaran pada model IRT sebesar -0,29 dan indeks kesukaran pada model Rasch sebesar -1,54. Angka tingkat kesukaran butir soal semakin kecil maka selisih tingkat kesukaran IRT dan Rasch makin besar. Sebaliknya, Angka tingkat kesukaran butir soal semakin besar maka selisih tingkat kesukaran IRT dan Rasch makin kecil. Meskipun begitu, IRT dan Rasch memiliki kesamaanapabila butir soal diurutkan mulai dari angka terkecil hingga angka yang terbesar. Kedua model tersebut memiliki urutan soal yang sama yaitu terkecil mulai dari butir soal nomor 12 dan yang terbesar yaitu butir soal nomor 3.</span></p>

Extreme reproductive skew at the dawn of sociality is consistent with inclusive fitness theory but problematic for routes to eusociality

<p>To understand the earliest stages of social evolution we need to identify species that are undergoing the initial steps into sociality. <em>Amphylaeus morosus</em> is the only unambiguously known social species in the bee family Colletidae and represents an independent origin of sociality within the Apoidea. This allows us to investigate the selective factors promoting the transition from solitary to social nesting. Using genome-wide SNP genotyping, we infer robust pedigree relationships to identify maternity of brood and intracolony relatedness for colonies at the end of the reproductive season. We show that <em>A. morosus</em> forms both matrifilial and full-sibling colonies, both involving complete or almost complete monopolization over reproduction. In social colonies, the reproductive primary was also the primary forager with the secondary female remaining in the nest, presumably as a guard. Social nesting provided significant protection against parasitism and increased brood survivorship in general. We show that secondary females gain large indirect fitness benefits from defensive outcomes, enough to satisfy the conditions of inclusive fitness theory, despite an over-production of males in social colonies. These results suggest an avenue to sociality that involves high relatedness and, very surprisingly, extreme reproductive skew in its earliest stages and raises important questions about the evolutionary steps in pathways to eusociality.</p>

Analyzing evolutionary game theory in epidemic management: A study on social distancing and mask-wearing strategies

<p>When combating a respiratory disease outbreak, the effectiveness of protective measures hinges on spontaneous shifts in human behavior driven by risk perception and careful cost-benefit analysis. In this study, a novel concept has been introduced, integrating social distancing and mask-wearing strategies into a unified framework that combines evolutionary game theory with an extended classical epidemic model. To yield deeper insights into human decision-making during COVID-19, we integrate both the prevalent dilemma faced at the epidemic's onset regarding mask-wearing and social distancing practices, along with a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis. We explore the often-overlooked aspect of effective mask adoption among undetected infectious individuals to evaluate the significance of source control. Both undetected and detected infectious individuals can significantly reduce the risk of infection for non-masked individuals by wearing effective facemasks. When the economic burden of mask usage becomes unsustainable in the community, promoting affordable and safe social distancing becomes vital in slowing the epidemic's progress, allowing crucial time for public health preparedness. In contrast, as the indirect expenses associated with safe social distancing escalate, affordable and effective facemask usage could be a feasible option. In our analysis, it was observed that during periods of heightened infection risk, there is a noticeable surge in public interest and dedication to complying with social distancing measures. However, its impact diminishes beyond a certain disease transmission threshold, as this strategy cannot completely eliminate the disease burden in the community. Maximum public compliance with social distancing and mask-wearing strategies can be achieved when they are affordable for the community. While implementing both strategies together could ultimately reduce the epidemic's effective reproduction number (Re) to below one, countries still have the flexibility to prioritize either of them, easing strictness on the other based on their socio-economic conditions.</p>

Redesigning Modern Portfolio Theory to Improve Spatial Recovery Planning for Oregon Coast (OC) Coho Salmon

<p>Oregon Coast (OC) coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) are a federally listed threatened species under the Endangered Species Act. It is integral to conserve this species due to their ecological importance in nutrient cycling and cultural significance to Indigenous peoples. The combination of their threatened status and significance creates a sense of urgency for conservation organizations, like the Wild Salmon Center, to efficiently allocate their budgets. In this project we redesigned Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) to optimize habitat restoration spending. MPT is traditionally used in finance to inform portfolio managers what the risks and returns are of investing in different portfolios of assets. In our redesigned application, the 21 populations of OC coho salmon are treated as assets, with the increase of salmon abundance and variance directly relating to the amount of money allocated to conserve each population. More specifically, we applied our new approach to mitigating barriers that inhibit salmon from traveling back to their natal streams. To do this, we gathered and collected data on fish passage barriers, average project costs to remove barriers, and estimated how removing barriers would affect the abundance of coho salmon. We analyzed portfolios under multiple budgets and scenarios that prioritize conservation spending in watersheds important to Indigenous peoples. This endogenous application is the first of its kind in the conservation field and can be applied to a multitude of species or restoration actions beyond OC coho salmon and barrier mitigation. </p>
