Modelado de la viscosidad de alcoholes utilizando la teoría del volumen libre junto con la ecuación de estado VTPR
<p>Los alcoholes son compuestos oxigenados utilizados en diferentes industrias de procesos como gas natural, petróleo, alimentos, cosmética y farmacéutica. Además, cumplen un rol fundamental en la generación de aditivos y en la producción de biocombustibles. El conocimiento de las propiedades de transporte, en particular la viscosidad de alcoholes tiene gran importancia en el diseño y optimización de equipos. En este trabajo se modela la viscosidad saturada de líquidos utilizando la teoría del volumen libre acoplada a la ecuación de estado de Peng-Robinson trasladada (VTPR). Se evalúan 15 alcoholes que corresponden a 165 datos pseudo-experimentales recopilados de la base de datos de la DIPPR. El rango de temperatura varía entre 230.63 K y 444.95 K. Los tres parámetros del modelo son generalizados utilizando el peso molecular. En el proceso de correlación se utilizan las sustancias entre metanol y 1-decanol, mientras que en las pruebas se evalúan las sustancias entre 1-dodecanol y 1-icosanol. El promedio de desviación absoluta en la correlación es de 3.17 % y en las pruebas de 5.09 %. Los resultados muestran que el modelo presenta aceptables desviaciones y podría ser utilizado en cálculos preliminares en ingeniería de procesos.</p> <p> </p>
