Whereas both species seem to need forest, Amnirana parva sp. nov. is predicted to only occur in the wettest parts of the Upper Guinean lowland rainforest; the model predicts a much wider range for A. fonensis, potentially able to inhabit also forests in the Guinean and Sudanese savanna zone.
