Infilled and non-infilled HadEX-CAM dataset for the TX90p, TN90p, TX10p, TN10p ETCCDI indices
<p>All NetCDF files contain monthly gridded data for the European continent that span 1901-2018.</p> <p>Each file contain the data relative to a single extreme index that is indicated in the filename (e.g., "_TX90p_").</p> <p>The filenames with the prefix "original_" correspond to the original HadEX-CAM dataset that contains missing values indicated by NaN values.</p> <p>The filenames with the prefix "crai_" corresponds to the HadEX-CAM dataset infilled using our AI method (<a href="https://github.com/FREVA-CLINT/climatereconstructionAI">CRAI</a>).</p> <p>The filenames with the prefix "idw_" corresponds to the HadEX-CAM dataset infilled using the Inverse Distance Weighting technique with power parameter equals to 4.</p> <p>The filenames with the prefix "kriging_" corresponds to the HadEX-CAM dataset infilled using the ordinary Kriging technique with an exponential variogram model.</p> <p>The filenames with the prefix "diffusion_" corresponds to the HadEX-CAM dataset infilled using an adapted version of the <a href="https://github.com/openai/guided-diffusion">guided-diffusion</a> code.</p> <p> </p> <p>The "original_" data are distributed under the Open Government Licence: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/doc/open-government-licence/version/3/.</p> <p>The other data ("crai_", "idw_", "kriging_" and "diffusion_") are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.</p>
Global PM2.5 Dataset: Hybrid Calibration of CAMS and MERRA-2 PM2.5 Reanalysis Products during 2017-2019
<p>By integrating two reanalysis PM<sub>2.5</sub> products (CAMSRA, MERRA-2), a <strong>global daily hybrid-calibrated PM<sub>2.5</sub> concentration dataset</strong> is generated through the proposed CM-HC scheme with ERT model. This products include <strong>1095</strong> global PM<sub>2.5</sub> GeoTIFF files, starting from Jan 01, 2017 to Dec 31, 2019 (about <strong>0.95GB</strong> memory after uncompressing this zip file).</p> <p>To prove the superiority of this product, some experiments are implemented as follows: comparing with 1) two original products; 2) results of two separate calibration schemes with ERT; 3) results of CM-HC with other three ML models (RF, GBDT, XGBoost). Above analyses include two aspects, that is, the accuracy results and mapping effects. More details can be viewed at the thesis.</p> <p>One <strong>GeoTIFF</strong> file includes one-day calibrated PM<sub>2.5</sub> data. It is worth noting that the files contain the data of ocean area, however, our thesis only shows the results of land area in order to visually display the mapping effect before and after calibrating. Also, there is no site on the sea to validate in our study.</p>

AERO-CAM Localization Dataset at Alora Viaduct
<p>This dataset contains different flight sequences performed with the AERO-CAM platform on the Alora viaduct for the development of the PILOTING project. In all the sequences the platform takes off from the base of the viaduct and flies under one of the viaduct decks.</p> <p>The AERO-CAM platform is a DJI M600pro with a LiDAR Ouster OS0-128 mounted on its bottom. Autopilot data (IMU, GPS + Barometric Altimeter), plus the LiDAR point cloud itself and a laser altimeter are available. Position ground truth is provided by a total station. Dataset for "Calibration of CAMS PM2.5 data over Hungary: A machine learning approach"
<p>This study utilized air quality information from eleven particular checking locales arranged all through Hungary. The informational index contains in-situ estimations of particulate matter with a width of 2.5 micrometers or less (PM2.5). Moreover, the dataset incorporates matching PM2.5 gauges from the Copernicus Climate Checking Administration (CAMS) model, which makes it a valuable asset for correlation and adjustment. The dataset incorporates various seasons, considering an exhaustive assessment of PM tainting under different climatic circumstances.</p>
SDM current and future projections for alternate CAM-based cultivation in SSA
<p class="MsoNormal">Globally we are facing an emerging climate crisis, with impacts to be notably felt in semi-arid regions across the world. Cultivation of drought-adapted succulent plants has been suggested as a nature-based solution that could: (i) reduce land degradation, (ii) increase agricultural diversification and provide both economic and environmentally sustainable income through derived bioproducts and bioenergy, (iii) help mitigate atmospheric CO<sub>2</sub> emissions, and (iv) increase soil sequestration of CO<sub>2</sub>. Identifying where succulents can grow and thrive is an important pre-requisite for the advent of a sustainable alternative 'bio-economy'. Here we first explore the viability of succulent cultivation in Africa under future climate projections to 2100 using species distribution modelling to identify climatic parameters of greatest importance and regions of environmental suitability. Minimum temperatures and temperature variability are shown to be key controls in defining the theoretical distribution of three succulent species explored, and <span>under both current and future SSP5 8.5 projections, the conditions required for growth of at least one of the species is met in most parts of sub-Saharan Africa. </span>These results are supplemented with an analysis of potentially <em>available</em> land for alternative succulent crop cultivation. <span>In total</span>, <span>up to 1.5 billion hectares could be considered ecophysiologically suitable and available for succulent cultivation due to projected declines in rangeland biomass and yields of traditional crops. These </span>findings may serve to highlight new opportunities for farmers, governments, and key stakeholders in the agriculture and energy sectors to invest in sustainable bioeconomic alternatives that deliver on environmental, social and economic goals.<span> </span></p>
