MINIATURA 6 Housing decisions, behavioral aspects of choices, price expectations and anchoring effect - Polsh case study
<p>The data was created as a result of a survey conducted in accordance with the guidelines: - the survey questionnaire consisted of approximately 30 questions and a form, - the surveyed population was defined as 1,000 households living in a large Polish city (over 450,000 inhabitants), quota selection based on the number of city inhabitants, - CAWI method (online), - completion date: 1 week. The survey was parameterized. Part of the sample is a control trial, part is an experimental trial.</p><p>Dane powstały w wyniku przeprowadzonej ankiety zgodnie z wytycznymi: - kwestionariusz badania składał się z ok. 30 pytań oraz metryczki, - badana zbiorowość określono na 1000 gospodarstw domowych zamieszkałych w dużym mieście Polski (powyżej 450 tys. ludności), dobór kwotowy na podstawie liczby mieszkańców miast, - badanie metodą CAWI (on-line), - termin realizacji 1 tydzień. Ankieta byłą sparametryzowana. Część próby stanowi próba kontrolna, część próba eksperymentalna. </p>

Presentation of e-DSS: the e-SAFE Decision Support System
<p>e-DSS (e-SAFE Decision Support System) is a simple and intuitive software tool conceived to support professionals during the preliminary co-design process of an e-SAFE building renovation. The users can assess the energy performance of the building in its current state. Then, they are guided in the creation of a renovation project with the e-SAFE solutions (e-PANEL, e-EXOS, e-CLT, e-THERM): the tool facilitates the choice of the most suitable solution in terms of energy and seismic improvement, while also calculating energy savings, environmental benefit, and payback time. The tool is intended for all types of non-historical buildings and is available at <a href="https://esafe.eng.it/">https://esafe.eng.it/</a>.</p> <p>e-DSS has been created in the framework of Work Package 4 in the H2020 "e-SAFE" project. A final updated and refined version will be released at the end of the project. UK asylum court decisions
<p>The dataset includes 35.305 court decisions related to UK asylum requests. Location Decision
<p>This dataset gathers the replies of a conjoint experiment conducted online on 1'596 respondents leading to 15'960 cases in total.<br> The data assess what drives immigrants' intentions as regards residential location choice and, thus, comprise different factors playing a role in residential location choice (e.g. political factors, access to nature, living costs, public transport, facilities).</p> <p>Each respondent had to decide in which commune s/he would better settle in. In total, 5 vignettes comparing two municipalities were presented to respondent.</p>

<p> </p> <p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Corpus of Decisions: Permanent Court of International Justice (CD-PCIJ)</strong> collects and presents for the first time in human- and machine-readable formats all documents of PCIJ Series A, B and A/B of the <a href="https://www.icj-cij.org/en/pcij">Permanent Court of International Justice (PCIJ)</a>. Among these are judgments, advisory opinions, orders, appended minority opinions, annexes, applications instituting proceedings and requests for an advisory opinion. The International Court of Justice, the successor of the PCIJ, has kindly made available these documents <a href="https://www.icj-cij.org/en/pcij">on its website</a>.</p> <p>The <a href="https://www.icj-cij.org/en/pcij">Permanent Court of International Justice (PCIJ)</a> was the primary judicial organ of the League of Nations, the ill-fated predecessor of the United Nations, which existed from 1920 to 1946. Nonetheless, as the first international court with general thematic jurisdiction, the PCIJ influenced international law in profound ways that are still felt today. Every lawyer who sets out on the path of international law encounters epoch-defining opinions such as the <em>Lotus</em> and <em>Factory at Chorzów</em> decisions, but the Court's lesser-known jurisprudence and the appended minority opinions offer many more ideas and legal principles which are seldom appreciated today.</p> <p>This data set is designed to be complementary to and fully compatible with the <strong><a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3826445">Corpus of Decisions: International Court of Justice (CD-ICJ)</a></strong>, which is also available open access.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Citation</strong></p> <p>A peer-reviewed academic paper describing the construction and relevance of the data set entitled <strong><a href="https://doi.org/10.1111/jels.12313">'Introducing Twin Corpora of Decisions for the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the Permanent Court of International Justice (PCIJ)'</a></strong> was published open access in the <a href="https://doi.org/10.1111/jels.12313">Journal of Empirical Legal Studies (JELS)</a>. Model results: Model-based decision support for the choice of active spring frost protection measures in apple production
<p><strong>Background: </strong></p> <p>Apple producers are dealing with weather related risks affecting their production. One important risk, is the damage of buds or young fruits by late spring frosts. Fruit growers can protect their apple orchards against this risk in various ways. With a probabilistic model (available on Git Hub: <a href="https://github.com/ChristineSchmitz/Supporting_Information_DA_Frost_Protection">https://github.com/ChristineSchmitz/Supporting_Information_DA_Frost_Protection</a>, <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.11473204">https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.11473204</a>), we want to support the decision between several active frost protection measures. The measures considered in the model are: overhead irrigation, below-canopy irrigation, stationary wind machines, mobile wind machines, tractor-mounted gas heaters, portable gas heaters, candles and pellet heaters.</p> <p>As case studies, we parameterized the model for two German apple production regions (Rhineland and Lake Constance region).</p> <p><strong>Repository content:</strong></p> <p>This repository contains the simulation results of 100,000 Monte Carlo runs with the model.</p> <p>The results are provided as .RDS and .csv files. The .RDS files are suitable to be uses with the Code on Git Hub to follow the Post-Hoc analysis and figure plotting.</p>

<p>This publication contains files associated with analysis for my dissertation, "Migration on the Chessboard: Political Violence as a Decisive Factor in Coercive Migration Diplomacy." The dissertation explores a potential relationship between political violence and a state leader's choice to use migration as a bargaining chip in pursuit of foreign policy objectives. "Key to datasets.docx" and "dataframes_viz.png" explain the contents of the five datasets used. These five datasets are the five .dta files. There are five log files (.txt) and five do files containing code (.do) corresponding to the five datasets. Finally, each dataset has three associated results tables (.xls) for a total of fifteen .xls files. </p>
