Dataset for "Robust magnetic order upon ultrafast excitation of an antiferromagnet"

<p>This is the dataset for the publication on &#39;Advanced Materials Interfaces&#39; with publication DOI: 10.1002/admi.202201340. The dataset contains the raw trARPES experimental data and the normalized magnetic x-ray diffraction amplitude dynamics (published in https://doi.org/10.1038/s42005-020-00407-0) of GdRh2Si2.</p> <p>- &#39;trARPES_T_20K_static_MX_cube.nxs&#39; contains a cube of trARPES intensity along the MX cut of the surface Brillouin zone presented in Figure 1-b.</p> <p>- &#39;trARPES_T_20K_fl_(number).nxs&#39; series contain temporal evolution of raw trARPES intensity measured at sample temperature of 20 K with pump fluence of (number) mJ/cm^2. Figure 2 a-d, 3, 4, 5 b-d, B1, C1 used these trARPES intensity evolution.</p> <p>- &#39;trARPES_T_150K_fl_(number).nxs&#39; series contain temporal evolution of raw trARPES intensity measured at sample temperature of 150 K (above T_N) with pump fluence of (number) mJ/cm^2. Rich subgroups in groups of order up to 2000

<p>This file contains information about nontrivial rich subgroups in groups G of order up to 2000, i. e., subgroups H with the property that the restriction of each character of G to H has a trivial constituent. Rich subgroups are studied in the paper <a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2407.08040" target="_blank" rel="noopener">On Frobenius graphs of diameter 3 for finite groups</a>. The contents of the file is an array of length 3.</p> <ul> <li>The first entry is this description, an array of strings.</li> <li>The second entry is an array that lists the isomorphism types of the groups G; each entry has the format `[[n,i],[m1,m2,...,mk]]` meaning that G can be obtained as i-th group of order n in the <a href="https://gap-packages.github.io/smallgrp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">small groups library</a>, and the representatives of the k conjugacy classes of rich subgroups in G have orders |m1|, |m2|, ..., |mk|; mj is positive if the j-th class of rich subgroups consists of diameter three subgroups of G, and negative otherwise.</li> <li>The third entry is an array that lists the isomorphism types of those groups G that are minimal w.r.t. inclusion with the property that they contain a rich subgroup; each entry has the format `[[n1,i1],[n2,i2],...,[nk,ik]]` meaning that the i1-th group of order n1, the i2-th group of order n2, ..., the ik-th group of order nk are minimal and that they are isoclinic.</li> </ul>

The complex non-collinear magnetic orderings in Ba2YOsO6: A new approach to tuning spin-lattice interactions and controlling magnetic orderings in frustrated complex oxides

<p><strong>Project abstract</strong>: Frustrated magnets are one class of fascinating materials that host many intriguing phases such as spin ice, spin liquid and complex long-range magnetic orderings at low temperatures. In this work we use first-principles calculations to find that in a wide range of magnetically frustrated oxides, at zero temperature a number of non-collinear magnetic orderings are more stable than the type-I collinear ordering that is observed at finite temperatures. The emergence of non-collinear orderings in those complex oxides is due to higher-order exchange interactions that originate from second-row and third-row transition metal elements. This implies a collinear-to-noncollinear spin transition at sufficiently low temperatures in those frustrated complex oxides. Furthermore, we find that in a particular oxide Ba2YOsO6, experimentally feasible uniaxial strain can tune the material between two different non-collinear magnetic orderings. Our work predicts new non- collinear magnetic orderings in frustrated complex oxides at very low temperatures and provides a mechanical route to tuning complex non-collinear magnetic orderings in those materials.&nbsp;<br> <br> <strong>About this entry</strong>: We provide the input files of our DFT calculations for the studied complex oxides. The structures in POSCAR format and the INCAR files for all stabilized magnetic orderings in our study are all included. These files can be directly used into DFT calculations with VASP. Only the versions&nbsp;of PAW potentials are included in POT.info files owing to the VASP license restrictions.</p>

Matrix reorderings for "Bringing Order to Sparsity: A Sparse Matrix Reordering Study on Multicore CPUs"

<p>The paper &quot;Bringing Order to Sparsity: A Sparse Matrix Reordering Study on Multicore CPUs&quot; compares various strategies for reordering sparse matrices. The purpose of reordering is to improve performance of sparse matrix operations, for example, by reducing fill-in resulting from sparse Cholesky factorisation or improving data locality in sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SpMV). Many reordering strategies have been proposed in the literature and the current paper provides a thorough comparison of several of the most popular methods.</p> <p>This comparison is based on 490 sparse matrices from the SuiteSparse Matrix Collection (https://sparse.tamu.edu)&nbsp;and&nbsp;6 matrix reordering algorithms. The dataset provided here supplies the permutations and&nbsp;reordered matrices&nbsp;in Matrix Market file format for 3 matrices and 6 reorderings.</p>

Higher-order H1-conforming hierarchical basis functions for triangles and tetrahedra

<p>This data set contains H1-conforming basis functions for triangular and tetrahedral finite elements. They are hierarchical in terms of the polynomial order and feature symmetries in terms of barycentric coordinates. Moreover, they are pairwise orthogonal with respect to the interpolation operator. The resulting element matrices exhibit high levels of sparsity and moderate condition numbers in the higher-order case.</p> <p>The functions are given in terms two different formats:</p> <p>*.mat MATLAB data file with a MATLAB&nbsp; structure.</p> <p>*.xml file with a structure.</p>

Water quality measurements, stream order, channel slope and hydraulic equations of conterminous USGS sites: 1919-2009.

Streams and rivers emit petagrams of CO2 yet there is little known about how discharge (Q) variability impacts stream CO2 at broad scales. Herein, we compiled historical water quality (including pH, alkalinity and temperature) measurements for conterminous USGS sites and coupled them with daily Q for this analysis (the water_quality.csv dataset, 10,822 sites). Based on this dataset, NHDplus channel slopes (NHDplus_slopeSO.csv, 24,764 sites) and hydraulic geometry equations (lm_vQ.csv, 12,854 sites), we calculated partial pressure of dissolved CO2 (pCO2), gas transfer velocity (k) and CO2 effluxes (F) for a total of 813 USGS sites across conterminous US. We derived hydrologic responses (log-linear regressions) for pCO2, k and F versus Q at each site and explored how these responses varied across stream order and different regions. Ancillary datasets provided coordinates (coor_sites.xls), hydrologic unit code (HUC.csv), and watershed area of conterminous USGS sites (watersheds_area.csv).

First-order vertebrated mortality due the 2020 wildfires in the Pantanal wetland, Brazil

We conducted ground surveys along line transects to estimate the first-order impact of the 2020 wildfires on vertebrates in the Pantanal wetlands, Brazil. We adopted the distance sampling technique (Burnham et al 1980) to estimate the densities and the number of dead vertebrates in the 39,030 square kilometers affected by fire. We covered 123 transects scattered in the floodplain, up to 72 hours after the fires, mostly within 24 or 48 hours. We recorded the perpendicular distance between each carcass found in the field and the line transect. The carcasses were identified at least at Order level, down to species level when possible. The surveys were conducted from August to November 2020.
