A Database of In-Game Player Movements (Actions and Events) in Gaelic Football

In this study, data was acquired by fitting GPS sensors to Gaelic football players which are worn during game time. These wearable devices collect internal (heart rate) and external (gps positioning) data related to the movement of players. However, this form of raw data is not well suited to machine learning algorithms as it lacks the necessary semantics which can identify the type and duration of movements. The dataset presented here is created by a data engineering exercise, driven by domain experts, to transform the GPS coordinates into a series of (player) actions. The end result is a database comprising 12 variables and almost 160k actions. It’s reuse potential is targeted at machine learning researchers, sport scientists and coaches who are seeking to understanding the effort and load of players during game time. Analysis is enables across five dimensions: games, players, actions, duration and speed. In addition, the concept of an event groups together actions that belong to the same sequence and enables analysis at a different level of abstraction.

PLayer: A Plug-and-Play Embedded Neural System to Boost Neural Organoid 3D Reconstruction

This dataset supports the study titled "PLayer: A Plug-and-Play Embedded Neural System to Boost Neural Organoid 3D Reconstruction." It comprises a total of 539 high-resolution images, each with dimensions of 2048x2048 pixels. The image collection took place roughly over one month. We cultured the neural organoids ourselves based on the STEMdiff™ Cerebral Organoid Kit (STEMCELL Technologies Catalog #08570), aged 19, 34, 71, and 112 days, and the STEMdiff™ Dorsal Forebrain Organoid Differentiation Kit (STEMCELL Technologies Catalog #08620), aged 82 days. All organoids were collected on the same day, rinsed twice with PBS to remove any residual medium, and subsequently fixed with 4.0% (w/v) PFA at 4°C overnight before processing.

Market interview data with industrial players

The data is collected based on the designed interview guide with industry stakeholders such as professional buyers. The interviews are conducted in collaboration with the project partners in Spain, Brazil, and partly in South-Africa and the USA. The data will be analyzed for the four different countries representing the four zones of the Atlantic Ocean: 1) Brazil, 2) South Africa, 3) Spain 4) USA. The data will be analyzed for the professional buyers’ awareness and (interest for) trade of low trophic species and sustainable products.
