<p>Source data for the publication "Transport properties and doping evolution of the Fermi surface in cuprates", in Scientific Reports (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-023-39813-z) and on arxiv (https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2303.05254).</p> <p>This dataset is organized in the following way:</p> <p>For every figure of the manuscript there is a separate folder, which includes the figure itself, as well as one or more additional folders for the individual panels. In those, there are one or more .csv files with the data. Transportation network system including trails, road construction history, and gates for the Andrews Experimental Forest, 1952-2011
Transportation network locations within the Andrews Experimental Forest. Includes locations of all the roads, trails, and gates within and around the forest. Original road layer was drawn on maps in 1992 and field validated. The road construction history (1952-1990) has been captured as an attribute. Roads were updated in 2004 to include roads that have been abandoned. Gates were field checked in 2004, as well as trail locations. The three data sets were updated after the 2008 LiDAR data was delivered. Roads were digitized on-screen from the bare-earth DEM, and gates were moved to match the new road network. Trails were updated for the 2011 Andrews map update. Many were located through GPS, and new trails were added. The original data is represented, as well as the updated datasets. The road network dataset is in an esri file geodatabase format, and the other datasets are in esri shapefile format, and all are in a zipped file format.
Data for - The environmental footprint of transport by car using renewable energy
<p>Replacing fossil fuels in the transport sector by renewable energy will help combat climate change. However, lowering greenhouse gas emissions by switching to alternative fuels or electricity can come at the expense of land and water resources. To understand the scale of this possible tradeoff we compare and contrast carbon, land and water footprints per driven km in midsize cars utilizing conventional gasoline, biofuels, bioelectricity, solar electricity and solar-based hydrogen. Results show that solar-powered electric cars have the smallest environmental footprints per km, followed by solar-based hydrogen cars, and that biofuel-driven cars have the largest footprints.</p>
Magnetism and anomalous transport in the Weyl semimetal PrAlGe: Possible route to axial gauge fields
<p>The file ManuscriptDataFiles.7z contains the raw experimental data from which the figures are made in the manuscript entitled "Magnetism and anomalous transport in the Weyl semimetal PrAlGe: Possible route to axial gauge fields" that appeared in npj Quantum Materials <strong>5</strong>, 5 (2020).</p> <p>Paper Abstract: In magnetic Weyl semimetals, where magnetism breaks time-reversal symmetry, large magnetically sensitive anomalous transport responses are anticipated that could be useful for topological spintronics. The identification of new magnetic Weyl semimetals is therefore in high demand, particularly since in these systems Weyl node configurations may be easily modified using magnetic fields. Here we explore experimentally the magnetic semimetal PrAlGe, and unveil a direct correspondence between easy-axis Pr ferromagnetism and anomalous Hall and Nernst effects. With sizes of both the anomalous Hall conductivity and Nernst effect in good quantitative agreement with first principles calculations, we identify PrAlGe as a system where magnetic fields can connect directly to Weyl nodes via the Pr magnetization. Furthermore, we find the predominantly easy-axis ferromagnetic ground state co-exists with a low density of nanoscale textured magnetic domain walls. We describe how such nanoscale magnetic textures could serve as a local platform for tunable axial gauge fields of Weyl fermions.</p>

Middlesex Convicts Delivered For Transportation 1785-92
<p>Between July 1789 and October 1792 the keeper of Newgate gaol, Richard Akerman, submitted to the Justices of the Peace at the Middlesex Sessions of the Peace a series of lists of convicts sentenced to transportation whom he had conveyed from Newgate to various vessels along the Thames or south coast ports, along with his detailed accounts of the substantial expenses incurred in the process. Akerman's lists named a total of 1515 offenders convicted at the Old Bailey and Middlesex Sessions whom he conveyed from Newgate and delivered to a number of destinations between January 1785 and July 1792.</p>
Quantitative Content Analysis Data for Hand Labeling Road Surface Conditions in New York State Department of Transportation Camera Images
<p><strong>Foundational Codebook and Data: </strong></p> <p>Traffic camera images from the New York State Department of Transportation (511ny.org) are used to create a hand-labeled dataset of images classified into to one of six road surface conditions: 1) severe snow, 2) snow, 3) wet, 4) dry, 5) poor visibility, or 6) obstructed. Six labelers (authors Sutter, Wirz, Przybylo, Cains, Radford, and Evans) went through a series of four labeling trials where reliability across all six labelers were assessed using the Krippendorff’s alpha (KA) metric (Krippendorff, 2007). The online tool by Dr. Freelon (Freelon, 2013; Freelon, 2010) was used to calculate reliability metrics after each trial, and the group achieved inter-coder reliability with KA of 0.888 on the 4th trial. This process is known as quantitative content analysis, and three pieces of data used in this process are shared, including: 1) a PDF of the codebook which serves as a set of rules for labeling images, 2) images from each of the four labeling trials, including the use of New York State Mesonet weather observation data (Brotzge et al., 2020), and 3) an Excel spreadsheet including the calculated inter-coder reliability (ICR) metrics and other summaries used to asses reliability after each trial. The data are included in NYSDOT_quantitative_content_analysis.zip.</p> <p>The broader purpose of this work is that the six human labelers, after achieving inter-coder reliability, can then label large sets of images independently, each contributing to the creation of larger labeled dataset used for training supervised machine learning models to predict road surface conditions from camera images. The xCITE lab (xCITE, 2023) is used to store camera images from 511ny.org, and the lab provides computing resources for training machine learning models.</p> <p><strong>Obstructed Class Variation: </strong></p> <p>There are many applications for labeling roadside camera images, and as a variation of the foundational codebook, an addendum codebook provides another version of labeling the obstructed class. Specifically, this variation prioritizes labeling an image as “obstructed” only in extreme circumstances where there is a camera- or image- specific problem that prevents the assessment of any road surfaces. For labelers who want to use this version of the obstructed class (in this document) and also the other five weather-related classes (in the foundational codebook), the guidance is to use both documents in tandem, making sure to use the obstructed rules/definitions in this document while disregarding the obstructed rules/definitions in the foundational codebook. Alternatively, this codebook may be used alone in applications where the goal is to solely classify obstructed vs not obstructed. To ensure reliability and quality of this variation, quantitative content analysis was conducted on this addendum codebook, just as it was for the foundational codebook. Two labelers were tested with a sample of 30 images and achieved inter-coder reliability with Krippendorff's Alpha of 0.934 after one trial. The data, including the addendum codebook and labeling trial data (images and results) are included in ObstructedVariation_quantitative_content_analysis.zip.</p> <p>This material is based upon work supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation under Grant No. RISE-2019758.</p>

Viabundus map of premodern European transport and mobility
<p>Viabundus.eu is a freely accessible online street map of late medieval and early modern northern Europe (1350-1650). Originally conceived as the digitisation of Friedrich Bruns and Hugo Weczerka's <em>Hansische Handelsstraßen</em> (1962) atlas of land roads in the Hanseatic area, the Viabundus map moves beyond that. It includes among others: a database with information about settlements, towns, tolls, staple markets and other information relevant for the pre-modern traveller; a route calculator; a calendar of fairs; and additional land routes as well as water ways.</p> <p>Viabundus is a work in progress. Version 2, released on 25 April 2025, contains a rough digitisation of the land routes from <em>Hansische Handelsstraßen</em>, as well as a thoroughly researched road network for the current-day Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, the German states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Hesse and North Rhine-Westfalia, and parts of Poland (Pomerania, Royal Prussia, Greater Poland). The inclusion of other regions is currently being planned. Additions to the dataset will be released as new versions in the future.</p> <p>The project's homepage viabundus.eu contains a web map application to explore the data. To allow for more advanced spatial and historical analyses, the underlying dataset is available for download under the CC-BY-SA license.</p> <p>The dataset is designed as a network model and therefore consists of two main elements: 1) a relational database of nodes, i.e. geographical places, with historical information about settlements, towns, tolls, staple markets, fairs, bridges, ferries, harbours and shipping locks; 2) a database with edges, i.e. the geospatial representations of the land and water routes that connected these nodes. The entire database is available in CSV format (with geospatial geometry as WKT); the edges and the outlines of towns in the 16th century are also separately available as geojson and GML files. For more information about the structure of the dataset, theoretical considerations and sources, please consult the enclosed documentation file.</p>

The effectiveness of assumptions relating to the use of different types of packaging were verified from the perspective of the number of vehicles required and their emissions. The relationship between the size and specification of the wood biomass load and the packaging used was indicated. Hypersonic Transport: 3D Emission Inventory of STRATOFLY-MR3 Fleet Operated on Brussels to Sydney Route in 2075
<p>High-resolution 3D inventories of future hypersonic transport (HST) are compiled for the year 2075, integrating the gaseous engine emissions of a fleet of 200 hydrogen-powered Mach 8 passenger aircraft*. These aircraft are operated once a day for 360 days on a reference route from Brussels (BRU) to Sydney (MYA) with either NO<sub>x</sub>-optimized (ICA**: 114 000 ft; 34.75 km) or H<sub>2</sub>O-optimized (ICA**: 107 500 ft; 32.77 km) flight profiles, derived to minimize environmental impacts in terms of total emissions. The emissions are spatially gridded at a horizontal resolution of 1° in longitude and latitude, with a vertical resolution of 1000 ft, and are temporally accumulated on an annual basis. India Transportation Scenarios
<p>The dataset contains modeling results of the transportation scenarios for India. Five teams modeled five policy scenarios – fuel efficiency, electrification, alternative fuels, modal shifts, and moderation in transport demand – to explore which policy brings the largest synergetic effects in reducing carbon dioxide (CO<sub>2</sub>) and particulate matter (PM<sub>2.5</sub>) emissions. The teams also modeled the comprehensive scenario which included policy measures from individual scenarios. The dataset contains data on passenger vehicles (two-wheelers (2W), three-wheelers (3W), passenger cars (LDV), and buses (Bus)) and freight transport (light heavy-duty trucks (LHDV), medium heavy-duty trucks (MHDV), and heavy heavy-duty trucks (HHDV)). It includes data on service, final energy consumption, service intensity, CO2 emissions, as well as population and GDP. </p>
Snow equi-temperature metamorphism described by a phase-field model applicable on micro-tomographic images: prediction of microstructural and transport properties
<p>This dataset provides data described and used in the article submitted to Journal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems "Snow equi-temperature metamorphism described by a phase-field model applicable on micro-tomographic images: prediction of microstructural and transport properties".</p> <p>It contains .csv files with different properties computed on outputs of the model Snow3D simulating equi-temperature metamorphism. This micro-scale model was used here with experimental micro-tomographic snow images as input and returns series of 3-D images of snow showing features of equi-temperature metamorphism at different time steps as output.</p> <p>In this dataset, you will find two types of files:</p> <p>- the microstructural properties (density, specific surface area, covariance lengths, mean curvature) computed on the simulated images at different time steps.</p> <p>- the transport properties (effective conductivity, normalizes effective vapor diffusion coefficient, permeability) of the simulated images at different time steps.</p> <p>Finally, metadata_simulations.csv gather the information relative to the simulations.</p>
