<p>This set of files contains data associated with the emerging manuscript<br> "Evolution upon leather manufacturing: comparison of the two<br> Halobacterium salinarum strains isolated in the early 20-th century<br> with the twin laboratory strains NRC-1 and R1."<br> by Friedhelm Pfeiffer and Mike Dyall-Smith.</p> <p>The manuscript provides a detailed comparison of the complete genome<br> sequences from four strains of Halobacterium salinarum:<br> 91-R6 (NRC 34002, the type strain of Halobacterium salinarum);<br> 63-R2 (NRC 34001, a strain originally reported as 'cutirubra');<br> NRC-1 and R1 (two laboratory strains).</p> <p>A detailed comparison of the complete genome sequences of three strains<br> (excluding 63-R2) has been previously reported:<br> Microbiologyopen (2020) 9: e974 (doi: 10.1002/mbo3.974; PMID:31797576).</p> <p>The 'seq_' series of files contains newly reported sequences of<br> episomal plasmids (pHcu190, pHcu229) and plasmid integrants into<br> the chromosome (contigDRAFT1, contigDRAFT2) from strain 63-R2.</p> <p>There are two versions for pHcu229, as this plasmid could only<br> be partially assembled (_asAssembled, 170458 bp) but could be<br> completed in silico (_inSilicoCompleted, 229124 bp).</p> <p>The 'tagMGE_' series of files contains the sequences of all<br> replicons (the main chromosome and all plasmids) with markup<br> of all mobile genetic elements (MGEs) for each of the<br> four strains of Halobacterium salinarum.</p> <p>The file dbHsAllStrainsTotal.fasta contains the complete sequences<br> of the chromosomes and plasmids in a single file.</p> <p>The dbHsAllStrainsCore.fasta contains the same set of sequences but<br> with strain-specific copies of mobile genetic elements removed. This<br> version was generated to facilitate inter-strain sequence comparison.<br> </p>
InHARD-DT - Industrial Human Action Recognition Dataset - Digital Twin
<p>This paper explores the use of a Digital Twin of a real industrial workstation involving assembly tasks with a robotic arm interfaced with Virtual Reality (VR) to extract a digital human model. The DT simulates assembly operations performed by humans aiming to generate self-labeled data. Thereby, a Human Action Recognition dataset named InHARD-DT was created to validate a real use case in which we use the acquired auto-labeled DT data of the virtual representation of the InHARD dataset to train a Spatial–Temporal Graph Convolutional Neural Network with skeletal data on one hand. On the other hand, the Physical Twin (PT) data of the InHARD dataset was used for testing. Therefore, we introduce a RGB+S dataset named “Industrial Human Action Recognition Dataset - Digital Twin” (InHARD-DT) from a real-world setting for industrial human action recognition. </p> <p>We invited 12 distinct subjects from the LINEACT laboratory (4 females and 8 males) for the DT data collection to perform the same assembly tasks of the InHARD dataset (link below) in Virtual Reality via a VR application of an industrial real workstation. This dataset contains 13 different industrial action classes and over 4800 action samples. The introduction of this dataset should allow us the study and development of various learning techniques for the task of human actions analysis inside industrial environments involving human robot collaborations. It can be used also in cross-validation scenarios where the training phase can be done using the Physical Twin (PT) data of the InHARD dataset (real world scenarios) and then test using Digital Twin (DT) data of the InHARD-DT dataset which is the main objective of this paper. </p>

Digital twin of wooden shingle envelopes
<p>This dataset has been provided to make an accurate digital twin of wooden shingle envelopes. Wooden shingles are one of the most sustainable vernacular building systems that were widely used to cover building roofs and facades by expert craftspeople. This roofing technique extensively depends on craft knowledge and nowadays only a limited number of expert craftspeople know this technique. Additionally, there was no documentation or digital drawing of this local building system, before this research.</p> <p> <strong>In this research, we could successfully provide the first and most accurate documentation of this valuable type of architecture by digitizing the construction process of two types of wooden shingles, known as Tavillons and Bardeaux. </strong></p> <p>Two prototypes were built in collaboration with two Tavilloneurs, <a href="https://www.tavillon-bois.ch/">Here Schopfer</a> and <a href="https://www.tavillon-bardeau.ch/">François Krummenacher</a> at <a href="https://www.epfl.ch/labs/ibois/">IBOIS</a> laboratory and all the data was processed by the authores.</p> <p>This dataset contains both the raw 3d scans of all the individual wooden shingles for the two prototypes in PLY format, and also the 3D model of the final digital twin in 3dm format. </p> <p> </p> <p>This research is funded by the National Centres of Competence in Research (<a href="https://www.snf.ch/en/FJBJ8XGQ1tjG8J8w/funding/programmes/national-centres-of-competence-in-research-nccr">NCCRs</a>) and EPFL.</p>
