Rewarding Fitness Tracking – The Communication and Promotion of Health Insurers' Bonus Programs and the Use of Self-Tracking Data

<p>The data set offers additional information for the study on &quot;Rewarding Fitness Tracking &ndash; The Communication and Promotion of Health Insurers&rsquo; Bonus Programs and the Usage of Self-Monitored Data&quot;, to be submitted at HCII 2018.</p> <p>The data set includes the full lists of German and Australian Health Insurers investigated, including a link to their apps.</p> <p>This study aims at giving an overview on the current status quo of health insurances that investigate self-tracking opportunities and possible rewards for customers that share their fitness and health activities. We are interested in how insurers promote their health and well-being programs (intended program goals) and motivate customers to live healthier (incentives). We introduce research in progress while firstly focusing on the countries Germany and Australia. We discuss the current situation of health insurance clients&rsquo; data use, data security issues as well as long-term health benefits regarding those programs based on recent research on self-tracking activities. A NEAT Approach to Mobile Communication

<p>The demands for mobile communication is ever increasing. Mobile&nbsp;applications are increasing both in numbers and in heterogeneity&nbsp;of their requirements, and an increasingly diverse set of mobile&nbsp;technologies are employed. This creates an urgent need for optimizing&nbsp;end-to-end services based on application requirements, conditions&nbsp;in the network and available transport solutions; something&nbsp;which is very hard to achieve with today&rsquo;s internet architecture.&nbsp;In this paper, we introduce the NEAT transport architecture as a&nbsp;solution to this problem. NEAT is designed to oer a exible and&nbsp;evolvable transport system, where applications communicate their&nbsp;transport-service requirements to the NEAT system in a generic,&nbsp;transport-protocol independent way. The best transport option is&nbsp;then congured at run-time based on application requirements, network&nbsp;conditions, and available transport options. Through a set of&nbsp;real life mobile use case experiments, we demonstrate how applications&nbsp;with dierent properties and requirements could employ the&nbsp;NEAT system in multi-access environments, showing signicant&nbsp;performance benets as a result.</p>

Replication data for Nematzadeh et al. "Information Overload in Group Communication: From Conversation to Cacophony in the Twitch Chat"

<p>A subset of the chat logs dump from Twitch used in this work is provided, to help replicate the central findings of this work (<a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1182793">https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1182793</a>). Data are aggregated and include the number of messages posted in each channel and the number of users posting them, sampled at intervals of 5 minutes. To protect the identity of the users in this data collection, message contents and user names are not included in this dataset. Stream names have been replaced with numeric IDs.&nbsp;<br> No additional filtering or data cleaning operation has been applied to this data.
