Perceptions and use of traditional African medicine in Lubumbashi, Haut-Katanga province, Republic Democratic of Congo
<p>This is a dataset relating to the study on the perception and use of traditional African medicine in the Lubumbashi city, Haut-Katanga province, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These data were generated using a survey of people living in the Lubumbashi city, the protocol of which was approved by the ethics committee of the Université de Lubumbashi. Sample was calculated on the basis of the population size from each municipality. The choice of people to be included in the sample was made by the cluster sampling technique.</p>

<p>The Democratic Knowledge Database was developed within the EU-funded project <em>Network of Networks 4 Democracy</em>, as part of WP3, <em>Connecting Scattered Knowledge on Democratic Innovations</em>. It aims to systematize and classify extensive knowledge generated by academia and civil society on inclusive democratic innovations. The current version includes metadata and content data for 346 policy and academic documents on democratic innovation. An accompanying report details the database’s goals, selection process, coding procedures, and variable descriptions.</p>
