Data for the manuscript 'Biological response to the interaction of a mesoscale eddy and the river plume in the northern South China Sea'
<p>Satellite data includes daily sea-level anomaly from AVISO, daily surface chlorophyll a data from OC-CCI and sea surface salinity obtained from SMAP. Model simulated daily current, temperature, salinity, chlorophyll and nitrate concentration for three experiments (control, case1 and case2) from our coupled physical-biological model of the South China Sea . For chlorophyll and nitrate concentration, the dataset also includes the 16-day averaged budget terms along section S1. The modeled lagrangian particl tracking data is also avaiable. And all data and matlab scripts used to draw Fig. 1 to Fig. 10 are in Figure_data.rar file.</p>

Pharmacodynamics parameters underlying the manuscript: The effect of morning versus evening administration of empagliflozin on its pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics characteristics in healthy adults: a two-way crossover, non-randomised trial
<p><b>Background</b>: Empagliflozin is an SGLT2 inhibitor approved for use in patients with Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (DMT2) with- or without other cardiovascular disease. Empagliflozin is taken once daily without rationale on the optimal timing for administration. This study aimed<b> </b>to determine the chronopharmacological effects of morning vs evening administration of empagliflozin 10 mg in Healthy Egyptian adults, by investigating the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics parameters of empagliflozin depending on the intake time. </p> <p><b>Methods: </b>An open label, sequential, two‐way crossover trial comprised two periods with a washout period of 7 days. Pharmacokinetics parameters (t<sub>max</sub> (h), C<sub>max</sub> (ng/ml), AUC <sub>0-t</sub> (ng.h/ml)) as primary endpoints, and (AUC <sub>0 to ∞</sub>(ng.h/ml)) as secondary endpoint were assessed. Method validation was done prior to injection in LC/MS/MS and samples were processed by Liquid-Liquid extraction. The pharmacodynamic profile (UGE <sub>0-24</sub>) was determined after method validation (glucose hexokinase method).</p> <p><b>Results: </b>T<sub>max</sub> increased by (35%) in the evening phase compared to the morning phase, while C<sub>max</sub> decreased by (-6.5%)in the evening dose compared to the morning dose. Besides, AUC<sub>0 to ∞</sub> increased in the evening phase by (8.25%) compared to the morning phase. The mean cumulative amount of glucose excreted; UGE (<sub>0-24</sub>) increased by (43%) in the evening dose compared to the morning dose</p> <p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Despite there was a significant difference between morning and evening doses, it didn't reach the significant level, thus, it can be concluded that there is no difference between the morning and evening doses.</p>

Raw fMRI data from 12 rats used in the manuscript "Mapping of hemodynamic responses to the sensorymotor stimulation in a rodent model: a BOLD fMRI study" submitted to PlosOne for publication
<p>Raw data are from twelve male adult Wistar rats (Charles River Laboratories, Paris-France) weighing 300 ± 20g.</p> <p>Rats were initially anesthetized (induction) with 3% isoflurane and were maintained under 0,7-0.8% (sedation along with a muscle relaxation) during fMRI session. </p> <p>Each rat was submitted to two fMRI sessions: one with TE of 30 ms and and other with TE of 40 ms.</p> <p>For fMRI acquisition, electrodes were inserted subcutaneously in the palmar surface of the right hindpaw of each rat and electrical stimulation (current pulses with a 1.7 mA amplitude, 10 ms duration and 8 Hz frequency) was applied in a block-design starting with a resting period of 25s as a baseline followed by 25s stimulation, repeated 8 times.</p> <p>Ten 1-mm thick contiguous axial slices, from -6.36 mm to +2.64 mm to Bregma, were acquired with a two-shot gradient echo planar imaging (GE EPI) pulse sequence (2.56 cm2 FOV; 64x64 matrix size; a TR of 1000 ms; a flip angle of 50°) resulting in the pixel size of 0.4 mm.</p> <p>All imaging experiments were performed on a 4.7T Bruker (Biospec 47/40, Bruker, GmbH, Ettlingen,Germany) with a horizontal bore magnet equipped with a 12 cm gradient coil (Bruker BGA12, 400 mT/m) and interfaced to AVANCE III console. Two actively decoupled RF coils were used: a 7.2-cm diameter volume coil for transmission and a 2-cm diameter surface coil (Rapid Biomedical, Rimpar, Germany) positioned on the top of the animal's head for reception.</p>
