Greenlee Lough a (Nov 2007)
This carved boulder sits on private farmland, near Greenlee Lough, N of Bardon Mill, Northumberland. Sited within a scheduled area of a Roman camp, this carving is referenced 'Greenlee Lough a' on the Beckensall Archive ('BA) where it's described as having a minimum of 10 cups. NADRAP subsequently added the record to ERA in 2008, with the team noting 11 cups. Scheduling for Roman Camp: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1000098 ERA and BA info: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=1429 Model created from 10 images captured by Dave Tuck (NADRAP team 2) in November 2007. Imagery forms part of the NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Dour Hill Long Cairn c (June 2007)
Probable outcrop in a 50 metre long Neolithic Long Cairn within a private plantation on Dour Hill, NW of Rochester, Northumberland. Referenced 'Dour Hill Long Cairn c' on the Beckensall Archive (BA) the motifs are described as: 'About 15 cups, one with a faint penannular, on an almost vertical outcrop at the eastern approach to the mound.' NADRAP added a record to ERA in 2008, but moss and detritus coverage prevented cross referencing of motifs. Historic England scheduling: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1009379 ERA & BA info: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=1561 This model just shows a small section of moss covered stone and was created from 3 images captured by Joe Gibson (NADRAP Team 2) in June 2007. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England and Northumberland County Council. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Football Cairn D (Dec 2007)
Boulder near Glitteringstone, 1200 metres NW of Rothbury, Northumberland. This boulder can be found approx. 175 metres NE of the Football Cairn. Referenced on the Beckensall Archive (BA) as 'Football Cairn D', the record was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008. Team 3 describe: "Small panel sitting among larger blocks on the hillside, well-covered with cups in variety of size and depth. An upper ridge is formed by cups and joined cups, but no evidence of cups on other side and no distinguishable pattern to random cup marks. All cups are well-rounded." ERA & BA info: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=1158 Model created from 6 stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson of NADRAP Team 3 in December 2007. DARDAR 1˚x1˚ gridded statistics of cloud fraction by cloud phase type over the Arctic for the period 2007 - 2010

Description

These files, further described below, contain the necessary DARDAR variables to reproduce the figures and tables of Cesana et al. (2024), which are not publically available. The cloud phase statistics have been processed over the Arctic only (60˚N to 82˚N) for the years 2007 to 2010, and accumulated onto a 1˚x1˚ spatial grid, using the DARDAR instantaneous files (Delanoe and Logan, 2010).

dardar_grid_2D_2007-2010.nc: This file contains the monthly mean total, ice, liquid and mixed 2D cloud covers (clt, clt_ice, clt_water and clt_mixed, respectively), as well as the total number of profiles per grid box (total_profiles), the latitude and longitude (lat, lon) and the time.

dardar_grid_3D_2007-2010.nc: This file contains the same variables as the 2D files except with the altitude dimension, over 40 480m altitude bins, from 0 to 19.2 km. Alt corresponds to the mid-level altitude of each altitude bins.

References

Cesana, G.V., O. Pierpaoli, M. Ottaviani, L. Vu, Z. Jin and I.
