Pergola: boosting visualization and analysis of longitudinal data by unlocking genomic analysis tools - D. melanogaster behavior dataset obtained with JAABA

<p>Dataset contains <em>Drosophila melanogaster&nbsp;</em>behavioral annotations of chasing.&nbsp;The dataset is formed by 20 GAL4 line&nbsp;flies group&nbsp;from a TrpA activation screen with increased propensity to chasing and by 19&nbsp;pBDPGAL4U line (control) flies&nbsp;group. Ctrax motor trajectories derived from the original video-recordings (1000 seconds) were downloaded from this <a href="https://sourceforge.net/projects/jaaba/files/Sample%20Data/sampledata_v0.1.zip/download">link</a>&nbsp;and used to&nbsp;obtain the chasing behavioral annotations&nbsp;using&nbsp;<a href="http://jaaba.sourceforge.net/">JAABA</a>&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/nmeth.2281">10.1038/nmeth.2281</a>:&nbsp;</p> <p>The data set consist in:</p> <p>- a &quot;mappings&quot; folder containing all the mappings used by the pergola in the pipeline to convert data.</p> <p>- a &quot;perframe_TrpA&quot; folder containing&nbsp;mat files with three&nbsp;Ctrax derived variables (dnose2ell, dtheta and velmag)&nbsp;from the motor trajectories of the GAL4 line.</p> <p>-&nbsp;a &quot;perframe_pBDPGAL4&quot;&nbsp;folder containing&nbsp;mat files with three&nbsp;Ctrax derived variables (dnose2ell, dtheta and velmag)&nbsp;from the motor trajectories of the control line.</p> <p>- a &quot;scores&quot; folder including the JAABA chasing annotations in two&nbsp;mat file one for each fly&nbsp;line.</p>

<p>Raw data and statistical analyses from an experiment to study parent-of-origin and diet-by-parent-of-origin effects on expression and behavior.&nbsp;</p> <p>In this experiment, female NOD/ShiLtJ x C57Bl/6J and C57Bl/6J x NOD/ShiLtJ mice were exposed in utero to one of four diets. After weaning, their whole-brain gene expression, as well as a set of behaviors that model psychiatric disease, were recorded and analyzed.</p> <p>File_S1_README contains detailed descriptions of all included files.</p>

Database of movement behavior and EEG in virtual audiovisual everyday-life environments for hearing aid research

<p>This database contains movement behavior (head, eye, torso) and EEG signals of 21 young normal-hearing (11 male, 11 female, mean age 25 +/- 3.6 years) and 19 elderly normal-hearing subjects (9 male, 12 female, mean age 69 +/- 5.4 years) measured in virtual audiovisual listening environments in the laboratory. The virtual audiovisual environments that were used are: a living room, a lecture hall, a cafeteria, a street and a train station. The video and audio material for the environments is also available (see Related identifiers). The methods and an analysis of the movement behavior are described in Hendrikse et al. (2019). The supplementary materials to this paper that are published here include plots of the gaze trajectories of the subjects in all environments, plotted separately for the young and elderly subjects so that they can be compared, and histograms of the head-, eye- and torso-rotation for the environments that were not included in the paper.</p>

Comparing the route-choice behavior of pedestrians around obstacles in a virtual experiment and a field study

<p>There is a great controversy about the application of virtual experiment in pedestrian routing behavior research. We conducted field observations and virtual experiment to study the route choice behavior of pedestrians. The route choice behavior around obstacles are compared qualitatively. The results shows that distance to the exit routes as well as the density around the exits show great influence on the pedestrians&#39; route choice behavior while the speed of frontal pedestrians shows no obvious impact on the route choice. Pedestrians prefer to choose local closer exit or the exit with less occupants. The results of logistic regression show that the similar results can be obtained in virtual experiment and field observation qualitatively. This work can verify the validity of the virtual experiment for studying route choice behavior of pedestrians, which is of great importance for the application of virtual experiment.</p> <p>The files are trajectories of the recorded videos in the field observation.</p>
