Weather data for the period 2016 to 2022 from the HH1 Greenhouse location at University Farms, Case Western Reserve University
Data from the HH1 weather station at University Farms of Case Western Reserve University include observations from 2016 to 2022. University Farms is located in Hunting Valley, Ohio. The weather station was located N 41.493371, W81.422504. Data include date/time (in 15-minute intervals), air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, wind gust speed, wind direction, and solar radiation.
Del 13C and del 15N ratios in a peat core at 2 cm depth intervals at 4 locations along the Dalton Highway, North Slope Alaska, 1989.
del 13C and del 15N ratios were measured on a peat core at 2 cm depth intervals. Peat cores were taken at Imnavait Creek, Pump Station 3, the Happy Valley Steram and Olikok Dock Road along the Dalton Highway, Alaska.
Carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus content in the seasonally thawed soils are described for four arctic tundra vegetation types located near the Toolik Field Station, Arctic LTER 1993.

Point-center quarter method black spruce heights, diameter, and location for 150 mature black spruce sites in interior Alaska
This data set contains stand density measurements using the point-center quarter method at 150 extensive black spruce sites in interior Alaska collected in the summers of 2000, 2001, 2002 across the interior of Alaska along the Taylor highway, Alaska highway, Parks highway, Elliot highway, Steese highway, and Dalton highway.
Alaska 2004 Burns: Environmental and stand data for sites located in the 2004 burns off the Steese, Taylor, and Dalton Highways, collected in 2005-2011
This dataset contains site-level descriptions of environmental data (latitude, slope, aspect, moisture, soil pH and texture), pre-fire stand characteristics (tree density and basal area by species), and fire conditions from the 2004 fires (estimates of canopy and surface fire severity, including CBI, plus estimated stand age, date of burning, and distances to live seed sources). Each sample unit represents a site, and values often are site-level means of sub-samples. These data provide an initial baseline of environmental and fire conditions that can be used in interpreting long-term patterns of vegetation responses at the sites.
Spatial patterns of understory vegetation and soil in an Alaskan upland boreal forest fire chronosequence. Three sites located in Delta Junction Alaska. Soil sampled during summer 2007
In this study we used geostatistics to characterize the spatial heterogeneity of soil carbon and nitrogen pools, microbial respiration, microbial biomass, nitrogen mineralization, soil moisture, soil pH, depth of organic horizon and forest floor covers and understory vegetation abundances in three sites (1999, 1987 and 1920 wildfires) of a boreal forest chronosequence of Interior Alaska (near Delta Junction). Soil sampling and vegetation measurements occured during summer 2007.
Locations and Time of Alaska Lightning Strikes 1986-2010
This dataset contains locations and time of1986-2010 lightning strikes recorded by a lightning strike detector network and downloaded from the alaska fire service. The data consists of 1,454,279 lightning locations as GIS points.
Height of Dominant Woody Plants Inside and Outside Exclosures Located in FP1
This study examines the effects browsing by mammals has on the function of the Alaskan taiga ecosystem. The primary emphasis is on the effects of browsing in winter by snowshoe hares (Lepus americanus) and moose (Alces alces) have on primary succession on the floodplain of the Tannana River. On this floodplain exclosures established in the willow stage and alder stage of succession in 1988 have been used to evaluate the effect of browsing has had on vegetation dynamics, element cycling, soil chemistry. Additionally, the effect on vegetation type on the diversity and abundance of neotropical birds nesting on the the Tannana floodplain has been examinedand insects. This ongoing study has been in progress for 10 years.
Eight Mile Lake Research Watershed, Carbon in Permafrost Experimental Heating Research (CiPEHR): GPS Plot Locations
The Carbon in Permafrost Experimental Heating Research (CiPEHR) project addresses the following questions: 1) Does ecosystem warming cause a net release of C from the ecosystem to the atmosphere?, 2) Does the decomposition of old C, that comprises the bulk of the soil C pool, influence ecosystem C loss?, and 3) How do winter and summer warming alone, and in combination, affect ecosystem C exchange? We are answering these questions using a combination of field and laboratory experiments to measure ecosystem carbon balance and radiocarbon isotope ratios at a warming experiment located in an upland tundra field site near Healy, Alaska in the foothills of the Alaska Range. This dataset contains plot locations made using a differential GPS with real time kinematic correction in early August of 2017.
