Several forms of Kalanchoe variifolia var. seyrigii, not to scale, all with leaves at least somewhat serrulate-denticulate, with many rather small and sharp serrations, tan and papery calyces, and somewhat glaucescent. All forms have some sessile and some petiolate leaves. Leaf blade shape and flower colour vary among the forms. A–B. A plant housed at BGBM (023-61-74-80), with oblong to narrowly lanceolate-oblanceolate leaves and dull orange flowers. C. A similar form with bright orange flowers, cultivated in Israel (R. The type specimen of the name K. tubiflora was collected in Mozambique or, possibly, in Madagascar, by either William Fitz William Owen or by John Forbes (see main text for a discussion). A. The species is known to have invasive tendencies and easily becomes established in places well away from its natural geographical distribution range in southern Madagascar (see Shtein et al. 2021: 250, Fig. 9). The usually narrowly elliptic corolla lobes spread at an angle of between 45° and 90° and are sometimes sigmoidally down- and upcurved, The adaxial surfaces of the narrowly elliptic lobes of this form are apricot-orange and rounded-acute. E. The adaxial surface of the corolla lobes of K. krigeae (flower on the left) is uniformly apricot-orange.
