<p>The architecture of a CNN can be described as following. A small pixel region goes to input neurons and then connects to a first convolution hidden layer (Figure1). There we can see a set of learnable filters, which are activated during the presentation some particular type of feature in pixel region in the input. On this phase, CNN does shift invariance, which is carried by feature map. Subsampling layer goes next. There we have two processes: local averaging and sampling. As a result, we get declining resolution of feature map. To correspond this task CNN needs supervised learning. Before starting the experiment, we gave a set of labeled videos with different emotional experience. The system analyses images and finds similar features. Then the system creates a map, where it arranges videos in accordance with similar features. Thereby, images with similar emotions form certain class. To test the system, we add other videos and correct the system when it refers them improperly. The proposed model consists of four convolutional layers, followed by max-pooling layers, and three fully-connected layers with a final classificatory presented with MLP (with six basic outputs, corresponding to basic emotions for emotion classification and two outputs for motion classification for typical and non-typical behavior). The input data was presented as infrared camera output.</p>

<p>Also, according to Facebrands statistics of 15 October 2015, the Facebook penetration rate in the population is 39.76% and in the total number of Romanian Internet users is 82.97%. The statistics infirm the preconceived ideas of skeptics that the websites of socialization have no relevance for tourism organizations because the contained information in these websites is unstructured, inconsistent in terms of content and irrelevant for tourism, or newer, the ideas of those who believe that the majority of Facebook users are young and very young (under 18). From Figure 4 we can see that the segment of major users (over 18 years) totals 88.3% of the total number of Facebook users and these users may have at any time the quality of tourists.</p>

The adoption of Article Processing Charges as a business model by Brazilian Open Access journals

The adoption of Article Processing Charges as a business model by Brazilian Open Access journals. <em>Transinformação</em>, 31:e180045, 2019. <a href="https://doi.org/10.1590/2318-0889201931e180045">https://doi.org/10.1590/2318-0889201931e180045</a></p> <p>Different funding and business model alternatives for Open Access to scientific publication have been discussed and tried, either by Gold open access journals or by the ‘hybrid’ ones. A growing number of both types of scholarly journals have adopted a publication fee – more specifically an Article Processing Charge – as their open access business model, a procedure that has been the subject of controversies. The objective of this study is to characterize Brazilian open access journals that adopt article processing charges. The main contribution of this study is to audit and support decision making of editorial policies and business models for open access that are being proposed by and for Brazilian journals. We defined a sample of Brazilian open access journals using article processing charges extracted from the Directory of Open Access Journals database in April 2018 along with their classification in the Scimago Journal Ranking, Journal Citation Reports and Qualis Capes system, considered as an indicator of prestige of academic journals. The study reveals that a small number of Brazilian open access journals are currently applying article processing charges, with practices varying mainly according to fields of study, types of organization and classification according to the Qualis system.</p>

<p><strong>Title</strong>: SME Employee Perspectives on AI Adoption</p> <p><strong>Abstract</strong>: This dataset comprises encoded interview responses, raw survey data, and cleaned survey data collected from employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as a codebook that acts as metadata storage. The focus of the data is on employee concerns, current knowledge, and willingness to adopt and learn about artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This dataset is intended to support research into the factors influencing AI integration in SME environments and to assess the readiness of employees to engage with these technologies.</p> <p><strong>Data Collection Methods</strong>:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Interviews</strong>: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a selection of employees from various departments within SMEs. Responses have been anonymized and encoded to protect participant privacy.</li> <li><strong>Surveys</strong>: Two sets of survey data are included: <ul> <li><strong>Raw Survey Data</strong>: Contains all original responses, including demographic information and unprocessed answers to questions regarding AI knowledge and perceptions.</li> <li><strong>Cleaned Survey Data</strong>: This dataset has been processed to remove incomplete responses and normalize the data for analysis.</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Variables</strong>:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Employee Concerns</strong>: Qualitative data on personal and professional concerns regarding AI, such as job security, privacy, and trust in technology.</li> <li><strong>Knowledge of AI</strong>: Employee self-assessments and objectively measured knowledge levels regarding AI technologies and their applications.</li> <li><strong>Willingness to Adopt AI</strong>: Measures of openness to integrating AI into their work processes and willingness to participate in AI-related training and development.</li> </ul>
First Adoption for National Renewable Energy Targets in 187 Countries (1975-2017)
<p>This dataset was used in the publication of "All Roads Lead to Paris: The Eight Pathways to Renewable Energy Target Adoption" in the journal of <em>Energy Research & Social Science.</em> The objective was to compile data on the first national adoption of a renewable energy target in each country to analyze its mechanisms of diffusion (learning, economic competition, emulation, and coercion). The data were compiled for 187 countries for the period ranging from 1975 to 2017. The list of countries was gathered from the Annex I of IRENA's "Renewable Energy Target Setting" report. We used primarily the IEA policies database (<a href="https://www.iea.org/policies">https://www.iea.org/policies</a>) to identify the first adoption of a renewable energy target in each country. Other sources were used when data was unavailable in such repository for specific countries. Additionally, we include the data gathered from various sources, as they were used in our paper for measuring variables. The variables in this dataset include: target adoption (or “Target”, from various sources listed in the dataset); year of adoption (or “Year”, from various sources listed in the dataset); cumulative membership to energy-related international environmental agreements (or “IEA”, with data from Mitchell’s International Environmental Agreements Database Project); net energy imports as a percentage of energy use (or “Energy”, with data from the World Bank); a similarity index (or “Similarity”, created with data from the Polity Index, population and GDP per capita from the World Bank, and revenue from the World Bank); official development assistance as a percentage of gross national income (or “ODAGNI”, with data from the World Bank and OECD); income level (“Income”, with data from the World bank); and the international price for oil (“Oil”, with data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis). For more details, refer to the manuscript. Note that in 2018 the “IEA’s policy database” was actually the “<em>IEA/IRENA RE Policies and Measures database”</em>. The links for the sources for renewable energy target adoption for Norway and Albania were lost in the transition from one to the other; all other sources could be retrieved by the authors.</p>
